Tales of Randiriel

A lot of bugs fixed now.

-------------

WARNING This is the prologue demo and I know there's a couple of kinks in it to be worked out. But, the area should all be functional. In chapter one (which is about 5 times the size) your choices will have larger ramifications to the world around you.

I reckon most people should get at least an hour out of this if you do the side stuff in Nyserth. (I can complete it in an hour, but that's not really reading the text and knowing exactly where to go and when).

--------------------------------------------------------

In Tales of Randiriel you take the role of our hero dragged to another world to fight a battle he knows nothing about.

What he does know is he needs to play along if he ever wants to get back.

You have some weird powers that allow you to absorb souls. But, in absorbing them they change things about you.

Further Info

The relationship system is in place and tracking. But, the 1st relationship unique and subclass unique dialogue wont appear till chapter 1 is done.

You can ignore the farm and ruined towers for now. They are finished, but require triggers in the area capital to the south.

If anyone's interested I'm currently working on 3 areas for chapter 1. I may cut this down to 2. I wanted you to be able to play them in any order, but with all the party transformations and yours it's getting a little out of hand with the variable dialogue. The desert area to the south is finished completely. But, I'm debating which of the half finished other 2 areas to scrap. I'll probably put it to a vote.

I've also figured out the way I want to do a monster absorbtion mechanic. It's not really my thing, but it will be completely optional. It's hinted as to how towards the end of the prologue.

So yes, this is a very small part of a very large project.

Have fun. And please let me know if you find any bugs/hate anything in particular.

Meh.  Any game that uses a "game over" screen these days needs to be rethought.  There are few things more annoying.

I really enjoyed the sneak peak on this game. It has lots of potential to be fun, with a bunch of replay value. Unlike most games that went the way of the orginal Order of the light style. Where is offers lots of multiple ways to be corrupted followed by an immediate end to the game. THIS one doesn't. All the tranformations, corruption, etc. is all supposed to be part of the journey. Should I be good, bad, netural. Which is fun, and that makes fun story and decision making.

I did read somewhere is around may of 2016 is was a few weeks away from getting an update. Would've been sooner, if a failed hard drive hadn't made the author loose all their work. A major same. Almost a year later that couple chapter update never came. So this is pled for whatever u got to be shown, show it, even if you won't contine pass what you got.

Well what a nice game and a nice story too !  damn why I not found about this game sooner. Hmm it's over a year since you last updated this game, however will you still continue this project ?

Very nice start. But why have so many people afraid of music? :) Seriously, music makes a big difference in a game. Silence Maps steal much of the potential in your game.
