Nekropolis

You wake up...or let's better say: you regain conscience. You are in a hall full of dead bodies and coffins.

Take it from here.

Update 13.1.2018: Game is switched to sugarcube 2. Saving is now possible, pictures are smaller, bugs have been hunted, typos corrected. Game should be bug-free now. The puppy is no longer lost.

The first combat was bugged: should run now.

Meeting the Beast in the Labyrinth is debugged now. (version 10b)

Regarding the Patreon link: A couple of people have asked me in the last few years about a patreon link for my games. I cannot accept any money for games, or I would have to ask my boss for a special allowance to work in my spare time: I live in a country with special job regulations.
Pervy Sage is an artist who will illustrate all my games in due time. Pery has a patreon:

Perversity is a one man operation working on art commissions, while also working on different projects of his own creation. When dealing with commissions he's willing to undertake any kind of art request. While the projects he works on tend to usually sit in the science fiction, or superpowers genre of games. His projects tend to look more reflect real life situations, than fantasy outlooks (IE: the real world is a pretty bad place, and he doesn't see any particular reason to hide that, or lie about it) the real world is a grimdark setting, and his projects tend to reflect this.

Get out of here!

And maybe find out, who you are.

Grow back whatever parts you once had.

Regain your power. And then some.

You, a...Bloody amnesia!

dead tombraiders

undead

A gang of Four:

Dronde the Cultist, Brandig the Black Knight, Tanith the Necromancer, Jasira the Cleric.

The only way is up.

But remember to bring Book, Cup and Candle.

Do as your nature calls you to do.

I have a lot of respect for Blauz as a content creator. They have made a lot of games and are obviously enthuasitic about what they make. At the same time they definitely have problems. They aren't a native english speaker, their games are always a bit railroady and move at a breakneck pace.

Nekropolis is the game where they found a concept which combines their strengths and their weaknesses beautifully. You wake up mostly dead at the bottom of a gigantic tomb complex. The only real direction to go is up and things getting glossed over works well in an environment where there are more important things happening. Blauz's interesting phrasing also contributes to the feeling of disorientation and being exposed to a foreign world.

At the same time it's not the best coded game and at times it assumes you made decisions you may not have.

The strong driving goal, and how you escape deciding who you were are neat reasonably well implemented ideas that a lot of amateur projects could take cues from. I know I did. It's probably my favorite blauz game, and if you can only play one I recommend this one.

Surprisingly deep, and impressively tricksy, this is one where:

  • role-playing is important,
  • the focus is on horror (of several types) over sex, and
  • players will greatly benefit from a blind playthrough.

I had a lot of fun running through, and exploring the various options. Actually, I liked it enough to replay twice! Some of the endings seem abrupt, but nothing really feels like a screw you ending, or blatantly unfair.

Recommended for CYOA players looking for a straight transformation and identity story.

Also, points for selling the tabula rasa idea — well done!

I'm generally wary of Blauz games because they are often not to my taste, but this one is an exception. It now appears to be fully complete, with multiple endings and the ability to save your progress should you not have the hour or so it takes to play. It is a CYOA story with well chosen supporting images and genuinely a story rather than a wall of porn images with a bit of text. Indeed there is little pornography in the whole game and nothing really erotic. Your transformations are not of that nature, yet I enjoyed the story a great deal despite the lack of tittilation. There are a few remaining places where the odd word is misused or placed in the wrong order or punctuation is missing but it's very readable all the same. Recommended.

I want to say its a good game... BUT so many Errors! Get the cup, Error. Get the butchers Knife, Error. Lots of options loop Endlessly! Some Options lead to a dead end in the script so you have to use the back button on your browser.

no save function, and self reflection is very weak.

I cant even say this game is complete!

Alot of the choices you make dont make Much sense, as the the description is very Vague. I guess thats normal when your underground.

I like the Thought of regaining your sense of self, but Poor coding and writing really hurts its potential.

I can easily see this being used as an RPG maker game, and it might be easier to do LOL.
