In the game, you play a little grey alien named Deke whose spacecraft has crash landed on Earth and you have to recover the pieces so you can leave.
Deke is the player character, a little grey alien from Zeta Reticuli.
Many of the non-player characters in the game are modeled after real life scientists and inventors. Nick the Junkman is based on Nikola Tesla. His junk yard, The Bottomless Clyffe, is named after Tesla's Wardenclyffe tower.
Phil the Pharmacist is based onPhilo T Farnsworth, inventor of the television. He is not Neil Patrick Harris, as some have assumed.
Niel the Postal Carrier's mild mannered alter-ego is nuclear physicist Niels Bohr, the most aptly-named of all nuclear physicists.
The flash symbol for Crazy Blind Old Cat Lady is called Jane, after botanist Jane Colden. The Crazy Blind Old Cat Lady delivers the line "Do you want some rye? Of course you do." This is a reference to the classic adventure game Return to Zork.
Kid1 and Kid2 are not references to any obscure historical scientists, but are the victims of the game's transformation.
Despite being the only character specifically associated with science in-game, the Science Fair Judge has no associations with actual science.
