A Walk in the Park
by Kaeil

After an argument with your partner you enter the local park to think clearly and become struck with a curse or blessing depending on your play preference. While you are male in all sense of the term, after the beginning, you are seen as a woman by everyone you meet.

Over the next 12 hours you either come to accept the change, or work to counter it to return to your normal life. Each action you take will have a small effect on your fate and your true appearance. As well, with a bit of effort, you can also change your outward appearance.

v0.03 Alpha (download link for MediaFire is newer than 4Shared apparently):

A very Alpha game release that is the introduction and some starter transformation, but stops very suddenly.

Messing around with the game tester component built in gives you some very basic male-to-female transformations, but not enough to really go anywhere.

Unfortunately there isn't enough of a game here to seriously review. RAGS file is also password protected so no one else to can much with it either.

1. When you load the game, it says 2.4.16 at the title bar, so that is the rags player you should get. 2.4.0 has bugs and 3.0 is beta rags player that has a million unfixed problems. 2.4.16 is the latest stable release a year back so stick with it for all rags game.

2. I loaded the game. Unless you want to try out the debug items, it stops at the second page with little story and no images.

The first game of kaeil of "assentia"-fame is a laid back rags game I had a look at when it was first published. I associated it for whatever reason with an older game where on had to walk through a park and battle giant wasps with two sticks one had to pick up earlies -or die. Since I was none too taken by that game, I left WINTPark well alone for a while. Now I have taken a second look at it -using rags 3.60 without any problem- I find it a nice if incomlete game, good for some playing and puzzling. Personally I like action a little more fastpacked, but I can recommend the game for anybody looking for some nice and laid back puzzle solving: just be aware this is both a first game (a very well made one, btw) and that there will probably no further update.

Something else, if I may: questions about player effing belong in the game discussion. They are NO bloody review.

Sorry to be rude.

Play the game, it has a calming effect on me.

Unfortunately it seems that this is currently not really playable:

RAGS 2.4.0.0 hangs while loading.

RAGS 3.0.60.0 loads but shows lots of error messages while doing so (something about conditions concerning femininity). With every error message the story seems to advance a bit (bodily changes)

Afterwards the gameplay seems broken, with more error messages (and more changes) appearing while and after talking to the homeless guy. That's when I gave up.

(Is there another version of RAGS I should try?)

I would love to play this game and test it out for you, but everytime I try to load either version, the RAGs file cannot be opened. :/
