You are a spaceship captain. You're crew quit, you're skint and the ship can't fly. Then you hear about a bounty placed on a pirate stronghold. The bounty would set you up for life but there's no way you are capable of taking it on right now. Taking any job and earning money any way you can, you must work to repair the ship and earn that bounty.
Early Alpha with limited content, there should be enough to show what gameplay aspects are going to be involved.
Currently there is no definitive plot, it's very open world. A story will be implemented in time but won't be crucial to the game.
so, ever plan on continuing? or just scraping the project.
Very nice start ! I can really see where you are going with this, it flows nicely for an alpha game, many potentials for both randomized and developing plot content.. I like it! :)

Since you're still early in the development, I'd suggest looking into how you're going to differentiate yourself from similar games (trials in tainted space immediately springs to mind). One of the big differences I'm seeing so far is that it's a much darker game, not just in terms of the NC encounters but the entire premise is that you aren't choosing it to satisfy any sort of urge in character, it's all about the money. But that stops being compelling about two thirds of the way through- you've got enough money to do basically anything you want, including going back to legitimate employment. Even though there are upgrades you have to buy to keep doing missions, it loses the feel of the early part of the game. Just my two cents.
