At first glance I had a lot of high hopes for The Big Score. The main fetishes listed in the description - domination, feminization, puppyplay, ageplay - are all right up my ally. Sadly, it became quickly apparent that the characters in the game are simply variations on a theme, that theme being unnecessary cruelty. Nine times out of ten you can expect a given NPC to be callous and abusive, with no reason required for them to immediately attack and degrade your MC, with almost no counterpoint characters to balance out the cast. The one sympathetic character I encountered was limited to a very minor role currently. If you're very into humiliation you may consider that a point in the games favour, but unfortunately I simply found it to be rather repetitive and immersion breaking.
The game also suffers from some terrible grammar and spelling in places, which I found very difficult to ignore.
On the other hand the games art style is surprisingly charming; the cartoony style is well drawn and provides a good canvas for large, expressive faces and exaggerated body language that fit well with the rather over-the-top nature of the story and characterisation.
It's possible that this is a game that will improve as development progresses, and if you're really into masochism and humiliation this could be one to watch - for everyone else, don't expect too much.
Keep in mind by the time of this review the game is still in its early stages.
I gotta say the biggest selling point to me with this game is the genre and visuals! the art style is amazing.
I'm always a fan of femdom games so it's always great to see more. You play as Jason the MC who's pretty much the "loser" esc type of character.
Jason trying to get with his crush while trying to avoid multiple dominant women who all come from a different type of things.
Like one being the school bully, your overbearing stepmom, a cruel babysitter, and what seems to be a bratty queen bee type of girl.
I said this before but I can't express this enough on how great this game looks. The art style is great and the characters are so expressive and have so much personality overall great to look at.
The story so far is simple but charming, choices seem to land you to different types of domination scenes and were told that eventually, your choices will cater to which girl you wanna end up with.
Note that this is a femdom game which means your gonna be seeing a lot of viscous mean type of girls all the time, so if that's not your cup of tea then oh well.
And I should say that there are some bugs and errors but the game is still in its early stage and the dev already managed to fix all the major bug issues ex: the save issue and options issues.
Overall I think this game is great and can't wait for the future for it. I can safely say by the end of its development it looks to be a promising femdom game.
For me, the audio wasn't an asset as it was too generic and didn't enhance the characters. The cartoon style art is nice enough and the writing is ok but they don't really fit. Imagine watching the Flintstones and the characters are laughing at you rather than you laughing at the characters.
Having said that, after it gets more content this may well please people who are looking for female domination (rather than body TF).
Looks like a promising start, abliet a very strange setting, but a few things:
Firstly, "play now" is not for a download link, its for an online playable copy of the game.
Secondly the choice of engine.. it does the bare minium funtionality yes, but its also restricted to windows only, and even on native windows installs is frustrating. For example the "back" on the graphics menu doesn't work, so you have to quit the game to get back to the main menu, and it doesn't even rerember your settings between instances, so anything you did select is forgotten. Pressing escape crashes the game without saving, music doesn't loop (so if you leave the game sit for a couple of minutes then return its just silence till the next cue), "skip" WILL skip unseen text with no setting to change this if you load a save from the main menu you can neither load or save the game after (which is HUGE, because it makes continuing a game from a save currently non-viable, as you can't save again), and hitting "return to title" will take you to a different menu than initally loading a game (no background image ect, but the settings back button DOES work from there). All in all... its just barely funtional and broken, without really doing anything that free premade options offer natively, such as renpy and others.
All in all, not actually worth the headache as a player just yet... wait for a bugfixed version.
