Jack in, jack off!
You're a beta-tester for the super-popular MMO game Powerful Order Online (yeah, POO). After failing to find a place in a decent end-game guild with your shadow-stalking dagger-wielding elf, you start to worry about the future of your job. But thankfully, you're invited to test the brand-spanking-new expansion of POO, MEGAREAL! Of course, because this is a work-in-progress, there may be some fairly serious glitches...

Upon taking up the opportunity to join the brand-spanking-new expansion to the super-popular MMORPG Powerful Order Online as a beta-tester, you find yourself locked into the very odd (and apparently exclusive?) class of Healslut. Just how will you handle the power... and consequences?

CHANGELOG:
Added the Pink Finale Bad Ending which will continue from the meeting with HeartSpark (SparkAI)
Added automatic "save on quit" and "resume" for the quit save on the main menu to the game (applies to new games only but I'm working on getting it functional for existing saves)
BUGFIXES:
Dark circle around Lel's face when she was gagged
In skipping, couldn't suggest to castrate Brother Other if Sparkle was a bimbo
Bad variable reference prevented Roopah from speaking after Sparkle's speech
Sparkle being owned by Leigh would be overridden by nudist registration
NOTES:
The bad ending is currently hard-coded as the route following the introduction to HeartSpark and does not currently reflect your Sparkle's actual history
The three "bad end" sexytimes (girl/twink/futa) will be expanded a bit more (futa route especially) in the future
The game credits run for a few minutes so I included a "Skip Credits" option in the upper-right corner that you should try not to click/tap/smack/slap/lick
(If you don't skip the game credits there are some promo images I've included at the end)
Images shown in the game credits are currently random but I will be updating them to tailor them to your specific playthrough
As always, the end isn't the end until it's the end

NOTE: The route of going to speak with the miners is not looped in yet so it still ends early. I am working on that now as well as finishing the next morning with Harmony and spending the night with Roar(+/-Lel). If you would like to see the latest story content please choose a different option than going to talk to the miners when you're in Porttown.
This update contains content addition for the 'free-use' route that Sparkle can agree to while serving as 'loot puppy' and therefore will only appeal to those interested in those paths and activities. But worry not, the next big update will include more comprehensive content for the various dominant and submissive paths!
Notice: This is a '(hopefully) fun little sidequest' update and does not contain any sexytimes. If you're in it solely for the spank, you may want to wait for the next one to play through!
A game that really grows on you.
I will say this game's sense of humor does nothing for me. Whenever another questionably funny "Tweedledee & Tweedledum" style comedic bit comes up (and there are a fair amount of these) I do groan a bit.
But underneath the cheesy, cartoony exterior, lurks some very good character writing. All the core party members seem like super broad fantasy MMO caricatures at first, but basically all of them have humanizing moments and are written with enough nuance that they seem like real people with internally consistent emotional lives. Yes, even the pantsless goblin who speaks in broken English. Kayden in particular stands out as a toxic, insecure edgelord who nonetheless remains oddly sympathetic.
And of course, the strongest part of the game is the premise itself, that of being a healslut in a VR MMO. I'm particularly enamoured with the free-use looter slave path. I think a lot of games that promise non-con/reluctant content tend to cop out of actually delivering on the premise - usually, if you insist you don't want it, they allow you to back out. But here, if you make a key decision at one point in the story (it's abundantly telegraphed), the right to refuse is taken away from you from that point on. You can continue to withhold verbal consent and insist you're not into it (there are many opportunities to do so) and your party members will ignore your protests and 'force' you into sexual situations anyway. And they don't do it with crude malice but with a kind of gaslighty paternalism that just lights up all the subby masochist parts of my monkey brain like Christmas lights.
It's a great dynamic. It's a perfect distillation of the appeal of the submissive healslut fantasy, at least for me.
In its current state the story has reached its end but with some parts yet to be backfilled. I don't particularly care for the epic direction the story goes in later acts but I've always been here for the characters and the smut.
I've played enough of this to have formed an opinion of the game and of the author's probable intent. As others have noticed, the characters are not particularly likeable. The impression I get is that the intent is that the main character will use the powers of the healslut to not only physically heal the characters of the MEGAREAL expansion of POO, but to psychicly heal people both within and without the game and thus make them better people. It's an interesting idea, but at least at the beginning of the story, it won't be particularly entertaining unless you are into dark, depressing storylines.
I did love the cameo from Fanucci's. Given what happens in that game, it would be interesting if Sparkle has some interactions with Alex not just in real life but in MEGAREAL.
This game makes me wish there were an "abuse" tag, because the characters you interact with the most are straight-up abusive, and it's unrelenting. I don't mean domineering, but the kind of abusive that could have a person looking for some escapism to begin with. Credit to the writing for conveying it effectively enough to cause discomfort, but if you don't care for that kind of content or are actively avoiding it for reasons, you might want to pass this one up.
Gameplay - 8/10, for a renpy visual novel this is about as high as you can get, paths feel diverse and fleshed out, any visual novel that feels like a game to me is at least above a 7, and it feels very well implemented as a cherry on top
Story - 9/10, one of the best not story focused games on the site, while not story focused in a traditional sense, the characters carry the story on their shoulders in a wonderful way, and are some of the most interesting and engaging characters to me on the site.
Sexual Content - 9/10, the sexual content is spaced perfectly for a more story based game, yet still plentiful and always well executed, you feel the character's personalities during sex scenes which is something I would say is extraordinarily rare and refreshing
Transformation Content - 7/10, great transformation content in the beginning, more solid throughout the story, refreshed and used just enough to keep the game interesting and well, a tf game beyond the start.
Graphics - 8/10, higher end renpy novel graphics look great all over, competing with the top end of games that aren't graphic dedicated in some way, great for any medium, top tier for renpy.
Writing - 7/10, the writing is a tad sparse, mainly the character writing really carries this, and while not a story focused game with the story being so good, fleshing out the world a little more than the characters get at the moment would be in my opinion the thing that could improve the worst part of the game the most. Though worst is subjective when this game is very good at it's worst.
Overall - 9/10, probably the best or 2nd best renpy game on the site, easily a top 5 sex focused game on the site. Everything in this game is well executed with multiple options, if you like sex focused or tf focused games you'll probably enjoy this either way.
Can't believe I never reviewed this game. I've been playing it for years.
Overall, Healslut is an excellent game. Sexy, well-made, well-written, a great game.
Lots of reviews below mention how the main character is unlikable in real life. That is not a problem for me, I kinda like to play as a character that isn't perfect or too nice or just a proxy for me to slip into. To me, that makes it more interesting.
But my absolute favorite thing about Healslut is your virtual alter ego: Sparkle. She is just the kind of fantasy character I love to be turned into: ultra-girly, extremely feminine, slutty, gorgeous. And I love it that the change is more or less instantaneous and complete, as I usually dislike slow transformations.
I simply LOVE it when YOU are the most feminine and beautiful character in a game and there is almost no competition. Awesome!
But now, the nitpicks...
First, the comedic bits are hit-and-miss with me. I like it how the game can go from comedic to dramatic in the drop of a hat, though. But the funny conversations sometimes drag on a bit too long, and the humor doesn't always click with me. But it still doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the game.
I think if I have one main complaint about Healslut it's this... the game puts you into the role of the most girly, femme, gorgeous fantasy character, it makes you ultra-feminine and I love it, but among the rest of the team of adventurers, there is no one that is ultra-masculine, or even just masculine in a traditional way. While I do enjoy diversity and appreciate having the choice of non-traditional romantic partners, I'd love it more if at least ONE character in the team were a traditional manly hunky that you could romance. But no, everybody in the team is kinda feminine in one way or another.
I end up with Roopa, the she-male orc, because she is the closest to being manly. And it's sexy enough, but still not ideal, IMO.
