The Siren's Song

A young couple is given an opportunity to turn their lives around... will they pull it off?  And will their marriage survive?

Part 1 is focused around corruption/mental changes.

Part 2 is focused around gender transformations.

Part 3 is focused around anthro/"furry" transformations.

Although there is a narrative that chains the three parts together, you can pick whichever part you want to play from the beginning and don't really need to have played the previous parts to get a sense of things.

Nice story but it's another manga/anime style sor for me 2/10.

In my opinion, this is the best work from this author. It's refreshingly not bogged down by walls of text. The setup is simple but thought through and the characters "develop" naturally.

The game is well-structured. You know what to do without the author having to shove your face right into it, which I appreciate. It's not an endless grind either. Part 1 wraps up after six ingame days, and my first playthrough took approx. two hours.

You are pretty much free to do whatever you want and the author tells you when you should save because of branching, which I also appreciate.

There was a huge amount of work put inside of the h-scenes, pretty much all of them are animated.

Part 1 (which as of now is ~90 % of the game) is mainly about corruption. Part 2 introduces the gender-bender content. The trigger is a bit buggy, but there's a workaround in the forums.

There's also a walkthrough in the forums if you need it.

Overall, a really good game and worth playing.

A good mix of exploration and scenes.  There are plenty of threads to follow and all of the content is optional.  It's very technically solid, which is encouraging and the update schedule is looking pretty rapid.  All in all, this is good start to what promises to be a great game.

I recommend adding more information on what kind of content can be expected to the synopsis, because the way it is right now you don't even try to get people interested in trying it out.

I don't see a good reason for this game to be on RPG Maker, nor for the author to switch game engines.

RPG Maker is designed for short intro, take control of the character and explore, fight some Monsters on the way type games.  That's where it can shine. It also comes with well established conventions.

This game has a droning on and on intro and a map you can only interact with in a few clearly marked points. Essentially a Ren'py VN with added unnecessary running around, for incurable busybodies?

The author doesn't seem to try to utilise the engine to its strengths as exemplified with all the times you can use the standard way to initiate a conversation to listen in but have to step in the glowy circle to interact with NPCs. Ren'py gameplay weirdly tacked onto RPG Maker.

To make something of this engine, a loop of exploring, talking, refining ideas then trying to implement changes would be vastly superior to step in glowy lights causing a Deus ex machina solution. Maybe fight off or seduce potential suitors in a battle of wits of some sort?

It doesn't help that the main characters are terribly oblivious bordering braindead when it comes to other folks' intentions, one dimensional especially by comparison to the authors other far superior efforts, that are, I think not by accident, realised in a game engine that lends itself much better to excelling with their personal strengths which are imho telling a compelling story not creating a boring map you can barely interact with.
