My seventh game to this lovely site has been named "Darkwater." I originally intended for it to be more of a horror game but that quickly shifted gears even though it does still retain some horror elements. The game starts off with our protagonist hearing a rumor about a ghost appearing in his school and shortly after investigating it he finds himself transported to an all girls school and transformed into a girl himself. With no idea how to return he decides he has no choice but to explore the school for answers. Just about every room in the school has either a self contained scene and/or "mini-game." (I use the word mini-game loosely because this is not my forte as some are probably aware.) The progression is also fairly linear as with most of my games even though there may be some small instances where this is not the case. There is artwork in the game mostly for the main character using the "bust plugin" which was what sparked my initial drive to mess around with this in the first place. The game is fully complete as it stands even though I will address bug fixes, of course, and also potentially update the mini-games if I have time. There is two endings to be found even though the branching nature of it is rather limited but I am always a sucker for multiple endings in some fashion.
I suppose that's all that needs to be said. Trying to keep it short and sweet for once like i said, haha. Let me know what you all think and if you find any bugs. As always, I hope you have fun and thank you for playing!
Also side note-the game is listed by a placeholder name on the download because for some reason I couldn't get it to change in the original file but everything once it is downloaded should say "Darkwater."
It's an awesome game. Entertaining, funny and really good characters.
The minigames are easy (The dodgeball took me a bunch of tries, but its funny too ), you can do each one in less of 5 min each.
I found no bugs or errors, its got nice work ;)
I think this is one of my favourite tf game, thank you a lot for creating this awesome game ;D
My favorite kind of game! Puzzle solving with lot's of transformations!
I got stuck and I do not want to put more effort into this game because I felt like I solved the hardest part only to get punished. Did the music performance and got nothing out of it. Maybe I am supposed to look around the whole school for something else now but I can not find it.
This game is not bad. Like Link Between Realms (the only other game from this developer I played) the design is straightforward, but the writing makes a strong impression. It also has a lot of non-consent elements that manage to feel enticing unlike the many games where you go into non-consensual sex or even brutal rape. In fact, the whole experience is built around non-consent, but focused around being a girl. It is brutal in a way as you get turned into many different forms exploring femininity, often at increasing intensity of themes. The music really helps set the tone as well, but there is only one song for most of the game and it did start to get emotionally painful to listen to (maybe I am in a bad mind for playing this game right now because I was pretty upset over something). The art is pretty nice too. Even if none of it was made by the developer, these were excellent designs.
When I mentioned straighforward design, the maps are very basic square maps for the most part. However, I found the map design getting more complex further in and I guess the simple room shapes and templates make sense for a school.
Pretty short puzzle game buts its nice, it takes around 1-2 hours and i dont know where the "virus" allegations comes, because my antivirus didnt detect anything but its safe to play.
