They say that clothes make the man...but I don't think they meant literally.
During a job, Hinata the mercenary finds an object that changes his life. Now he must journey to find a way to stop the changes, one way or another.
Currently the game has no art, so all changes are conveyed through text. This is something I do hope to change in the future.
Hinata - A mercenary. Stoic. Does not mince his words, he is direct and sometimes cutting.
v 0.1 - Start of game
Not a bad start, though there isn't much here as of ver 0.1
Story is very straightforward so far. Currently, it's just adventuring type finds pendant in woods during a job. Hook initiated.
The level design is a little flat and could do with a little pizzazz. Maybe some shadows and changes of elevation? The music choices were good so far. Only one or two of the NPCs had anything to say. The puzzle solution was... obscure.
Combat mechanics were decently balanced for such an early version, though some of the specials were pretty garbage. One of them did 0 damage every time and heavy blow had an accuracy hit that made it extremely likely to miss, so functionally 0 damage. That never feels good in turn-based combat when you're only controlling one character. However, even after wandering aimlessly for a while and only the two potions to my name, I was still able to defeat the area boss without too much difficulty.
