Thanks for checking out my game, From Jeans to Lace.
This is my first game ever and a lot of effort went into this. I am far from a professional, but I am learning. My hope is that as things progress, I will be improve upon this and addd real choices into the game.
The current release covers 7 days of content over 44743 words and 93 passages.
This is a side project to learn coding and to see if I can come up with some sort of game. It was a challenge to me since this is not something I normally do. Because of this, there is not and will never be a patron, subscribe star, etc. This game is presented, in its entirety, for free. No donations will ever be asked for, there are no pay walls or locks of any kind and there never will be. Current content reflects about 2 months of work, however a lot of effort went into the foundation. I am not committing to any release schedules, but I will say with the foundation in the state it is in, any future releases should have significantly more content.
Notes:
This is more along the lines of a visual novel than a game. At the current version of 0.1, there are not any choices that impact the story.
I am considering this release a prolog.
There are NO Ai generated images in this game, and there are no plans for them.
AI was used for very light and basic ideation
AI was used for some code trouble shooting
I want to thank zur and LuckyFox for inspiration and confidence to give this a try. They have great games and I recommend checking them out.
This interactive story explores the life of a man who, after losing his job and apartment, moves in with his girlfriend. As he becomes increasingly reliant on her, their relationship dynamics begin to shift in unexpected ways. He navigates daily life and new expectations, where his choices influence his evolving circumstances and personal transformation. The narrative delves into themes of dependency, evolving identity, and power exchange within a relationship.
Kate (name changeable) - The MC's girlfriend and apaertment owner
Dave (name changeable) - The MC
None needed
0.1a
-Fixed a hardlock when the GF was randomly set to her own room on Day 3
-Fixed numerous locations where the name variables were not called correctly
-Fixed being able to use "Enter" when inputting the names on game initialization
-Fixed erroneous console errors due to the order of <<break>> when equipping clothing
-Fixed a variable call issue on Day 6
-Removed the need for shoes and socks to progress the story on Day 7
-Adjusted spacing in the closet and dresser
-Made it more obvious where the quick change outfits options are
-First attempt at fixing the magazine softlock. I have implemented a strict reset for the variables needed to trigger the countdown. I am not 100% sure this is the full fix since I cannot replicate the issue, but its the most likely thing I can come up with. I'll be watching for reports on this.
Notes: There are reports of being able to sleep without using the moisturizer. I checked all the logic I could think of checking and I am unable to replicate or determine how this is possible. Its is likely due to some randomness. If anyone experiences this, please, send me your save file to assist me in drilling this down.
0.1 - Initial release
-Bugs may be present, I have attemtped to squash them all, but if any remain, please let me know.
