In the high mountains of Velmoria, where queens reign by rite and the throne answers only to feminine essence, a lone prince must undergo a fateful transformation. As Prince Caelan reaches his 20th year, Queen Alinora invokes the ancient Empress Clause: Caelan will not pass the crown through marriage but wear it himself. To do so, he must become not only queen in title, but woman in body, mind, and spirit.
In Veil of the Heir, players shape Caelan’s path through mental, magical, and political transformation. Will you embrace destiny or defy tradition?

Dev Note - More than 6 months of development work here presented
The story follows Prince Caelan’s enforced or chosen transition into Queen Caelene, determined by the player’s choices. The transformation unfolds along three concurrent narrative paths:

These dreams aim to reflect the blurred, evolving lines of identity, desire, and transformation.

Expect richer transformation progressions and more narrative flavor in your alchemical journey.
Body part transformations via potion are now tier-restricted:
Players must maintain level parity across all major body zones (head, torso, hands, legs).
âš ï¸ You can no longer skip ahead with just arms or hands—all body zones must match level to proceed.
Ensures logical progression and transformation balance.
Added a “View Body Levels” button in the character screen.
Lets players easily track the current level of each body part.
When attempting a transformation with mismatched body part levels, a warning now appears.
Prevents accidental progression mismatches and encourages synchronized development.

I made a review on the last version and this version, while obviously doesn't suddenly make the game finished, it definitely was a very positive step towards reducing grind and it gives me faith in the author, I'm hopeful, fantastic premise, not quite there on execution but its very early days.
The prose is overly flowery. It may be fitting for a medieval fantasy setting but at times it can be a bit much.
But what I really don't like is how simply moving drains energy. When the game opens up after the intro you can easily waste the whole day just looking for an NPC you can talk to and not finding one, at least not one that has an actual dialogue option other than to simply "leave". I hope it gets changed so only proper actions cost stamina and progress time, otherwise it makes trying to explore the world feel like a chore that actively gets punished.
Not much content yet, but already 2/3 starting characters are locked behind a paywall.
I will give it another chance, but I'll definitely be skipping a few updates and see then.
Fairly early on in the game, it has promise - the energy sap for moving about is a bit extreme, but it's really early days on this - so I suspect that'll get tweaked.
Great so far though - and I like the depth of changes and working toward them. I did get some errors (I had the biggest possible boob size because I kept going, but the error about coming back when I had breasts was comically still triggering)
Minor Suggestions (feel free to ignore):
Again, I repeat these are minor gripes and the game is young, so worth a look.
v0.0.1.D (public):
Graphics in the game are a mix of fixed and AI generated, but they work. No sound in this game. Writing for the game is good, but I hit a bug in this release where I couldn't get past the need to interact with Torin so I have to wait it out to see what is past that. Interactivity in this game is okay right now, but the energy sapping meant that I was at Day 11 after not doing much at all and when I went full grind to get the "once per day 3 ingrediants" to complete the MtF transformation there wasn't much left to do with current character interactions; I even experimented the other direction with partial transformations back and saw nothing new. Transformations in this game are entirely on the MtF and FtM slant with your avatar, but it's done in body parts so it takes a long time to work through it.
With this current release I was interested in what I saw, but the story ending bug at the Torin interaction stopped me dead with the main plot; the developers are aware of it and I think the public release will catch up eventually with its patching. Transformation story I found to be interesting, especially the strangeness if you tried to rebel against it and not completely change into a female form.
Cautiously recommended.
Energy being consumed on move just means that you spend your first 20 minutes of the game burning through days just trying to remember where things are while making dozens of detours since you don't know what door leads to what. Switching things to consume energy on NPC interaction would let the game still have the sense of limited paths without punishing the player for exploring. Simply frustrating mechanic.
