EDIT: Got to say, the game keeps getting more amazing with each update.
I've started a dedicated playthrough, trying to get through all the myriad paths, and I'm once again impressed at the diversity of scenarios, characters, and situations. I've just found the interracial storyline with Tim, and it's extremely hot. I just love how the game appeals to a lot of fetishes, but all of them inside the confines of the main character becoming a woman.
This game is still one of my all-time favorites here.
If I had to describe what is most awesome about Transfigure, it is the combination of plenty of sexual content with deep psychological exploration of the main character. You get lots of sex scenes, and almost every single one of them has also descriptions of the protagonist's state-of-mind after going thru the sexual escapades that drown her more and more into her new role.
It is amazingly immersive by really putting you inside Taylor's head all the way!
So... This game has a lot going on and it was a fun experience until I got to a section where one of the main characters begins to rant about Jewish people being involved in conspiracies to destroy the world and the Main Character agrees with him...then goes outside to a protest by the most strawmanned feminsts I've seen outside of 8chan where basically the main character is disgusted by non-cis as an idea.
Yeahhh...that kinda took me out of the experience, to put it mildly.
One of my all-time favorites for many reasons, but primarily: great media, great and to-the-point writing that doesn't jump all over the place, awesome sex scenes, genuinely unique interactions with each character, different transformations, and lots of replayability.
If they do end up dropping a nuke on my city and I survive, I hope to play this game again.
I have good things and bad things to say about the game (mostly positive)
The writing in this game is amazing. It is very easy to put yourself in Taylor's shoes so to speak (this is both a pro and con for me) and play it like it was actually you. Most games like this give you a more outsider looking in point of view instead of a first person point of view. There are a few grammatical errors but not enough to be annoying. TBH this has a little bit of everything for everyone. If you want to fap then your in luck it will take less then 5 minutes to find some lewd material. If you just feel like reading a story then this has a pretty good plot and excellent writing.
Some things I didn't like about this is it was really easy for me to imagine myself as Taylor and I will explain why this was a problem for me. Every choice I saw that have Taylor put a stop to certain situations had no content and right now it is pretty much all involuntary/mind breaking/corruptioni so if thats your thing then you will love this game. I usually dont have a problem with those fetish type and in fact enjoy it a little bit but some of it was to brutal for me especially with how easy it was to imagine myself as Tayle.
Also one other thng Evan really pisses me off to no end I really hope either he gets a taste of his own medicine or the MC can torture the shit out of him in later content.
Also there should be a route where the MC gets to dominate everyone instead of the one being dominated all the time because I would think being a former male the MC would be a little better at manipulating men. (if this all already there I have nor found it yet)
Tricky. Writing for this CYOA game is very strong and entertaining. Yes there is some gratuitous swearing in it, but nothing to really get in a twist over. Images for the game suit the scene but sometimes it comes off as a little plain since this game is more tailored to "tell, don't show" with its approach. Transformations in the game are many but quite a few of them are connected to bad endings, so make of that what you will. Interactivity in this game is fairly basic since it's a CYOA through-and-through, but it works and you'll not care if you're into the story being told.
This is a very strong CYOA game that is well written and has some deep characterization you come to find the further through that you play the game. But it is a very heavily story dependent game and you may find yourself wondering if you are reading a novel instead of playing a game.
For me, I do recommend this game. Be warned it's a time eater though, so if you're not interested in reading an interactive book take a pass.
