You wake up in a bed that used to belong to a princess, you find youself have swaped body with that princess, latter in the game, you will find you need to transform into a succubus-like witch to protect your people by doing succubus things.
While the game does look interesting I have to wonder why anyone would release again that is only 70% translate? I could understand if things like the sex scenes was still in the orginal language but when talking to characters about important information to know what to do next, that just makes it near impossible to continue on.
EX: I went to talk to the Uncle (who still speaks in the orginal language) and afterwards thought I was done for the day. However the game is still me I still have something to do. I cannot ask Jessica because she also answers in the orginal language.
Please if you arre going to translate a language from one to another, do all of it before you release it.
Was a plyer of cursed armor and even a suscriber for a time, and i enjoyed a lot the first game at the begining ... Before it becomes just too messy to follow and new content was more and more buggd and poorly translated. (It's a shame as the authors told me he was paying someone to translate the game ...)
So we are speaking here about Cursed armor 2 and not the first yeah but the fact is it share basically the same strength and weakness. You can't really follow the story as you have full parts that are simply not translated, it was already a pain in the first one, and it made me stop this one too. It's not a big deal when you are following simple stories, but when you need to go deeper in the story to enjoy what is happening it's not the same. Simple exemple, when you have lots of arts picturing what happens, you can skip a few dialogues and still understand mainly what happens. When you have animated sprites or generic picture that loop the same routine move-fuck-move-fuck ... having untranslated parts simply make the whole thing even more painful and make you just skip everything.
So a promising game, but i fear it will in the end lead to the same deception than the 1rst one as it already share all it's bad parts. And i hope english version will be more than simply a lie to bring money ...
To sum up
+new fighting style
-Poorly translated (when translated)
-Story quite messy and sometime hard to follow.
Yoooo,Cursed Armor II. 这就厉害了
Cursed Armor was not great for us English speakers. I could not finish playing it personally, and I've waded through many bad translations before. However, it has been a long time since I played it and it might have been updated since then. Not sure, but this is supposed to be a review for Cursed Armor II.
Sex scenes don't seem to be much better(IE, going on too long and being very repetitive), but the art is better. The first game's art wasn't bad but there is a noticeable improvement. Combat is significantly different than most if not all other RPGMaker games but it is poorly explained. The story is, much like the first game, rather difficult to follow. Part of that may be due to the translation which is also not great.
For some reason there are a bunch of save slots pre-filled at random points in the game. This doesn't subtract from the game but it is odd.
I must give a shoutout to the armor system. It being so customizeable is something I highly appreciate in games. The in depth stats page as well. That's the good stuff right there.
My main issue with both games is that there's just so much monotony and tediousness in them. Sex scenes aren't even entertaining because they go on for far, far, far too long. I can't read Chinese, but that doesn't even matter when the translated sex scenes are basically just the same few lines repeated over and over. Once you think it's done, surprise it keeps going because apparently everyone has the stamina of gods and the recovery time measured in nanoseconds. Except it's not a surprise, because every scene is like that. The story isn't even followable enough to the point where I am interested in the game outside of the sex scenes, although part of that is due to the egregious translation.
Overall, the game is quite disheartening to a person like me. I absolutely adore the concept of Cursed Armor, but the execution is just depressing.
I like what I'm seeing so far! Not far into it tho, and already finding non-translated spots. Loving the story, and RPGMaker games are kind of a fave! Wondering tho... what about Cursed Armor 1?
