Crazy Love
by Saatha

Hi there!

In trying to learn Unity I thought I may as well make a little something that I can tinker with and improve over time, and serve a purpose on a site I've frequented for a while!

It's a simple RPS game with transformation elements, which isn't anything new around here but served as some nice coding practice.

The art is made in Kisekae for the sole purpose of having something I could prototype pretty quickly, if that's a turn off for you then I apologize.

After nearly a year of strange technical malfunctions mixed with real life commitment I have returned from the depths to offer a small update.

  • General UI tidying
  • Changes to default resolutions, 16:9 is mandatory for now
  • Added 1 new character, Lawrence
  • Created a Mac build, I have no idea how this works and would very much like feedback from anyone who knows about Mac development or if they have general pointers about Mac user quality of life fluff
  • A little bit of behind the scenes groundwork for something I would like to implement down the line
  • Current download switch to Mediafire due to a few Mega issues, sorry! Old Mega links are still functional

In a future not too far from us now, a brand new smash hit show is born!

When putting out invites for her celebrity dating show, pop sensation Carol comes to the conclusion that men are pigs and ask way too much of the women said to be on the show. As a result, Carol plans to give them all a taste of their own medicine in an arena show that'll keep the audience on the edge of their seats!

Carol - Hostess with the mostess

Kevin - Up and coming guitarist for a hit band, is absolutely certain that he's on the show to meet a woman with an insatiable sexual appetite.

Alan - Silicon valley tech expert, he really believes that the most important thing for coming on the show is finding a small, submissive woman he can call his own partner.

Richard - The son of a corporate legend with a real mean streak. Enjoys people bending to his every whim, and is on the show to find a woman who fits the bill.

Carl - The life of an Olympic swimmer is usually pretty seasonal, unless you're in a scandal like Carl. He's looking for such a tasteless woman tonight on the show too.

Really good game, it features a good bit of content and actually offers a good amount of replayability, which isn't very common here.

Literally the only negative thing I have to say may be that playing rock paper scissors for a good 100 times isnt the most exciting thing to do, so maybe some different games would be nice? But don't worry, it's good as it is! Can't wait for more content being added ;)

I really love the concept: A game show where failures are punished with transformation.  The art is good, and shows effort in creating enough assets to cover two interacting transformation systems (Mind and Body) for each character.  I'm not as big a fan of the rock paper scissors action.  It's too random, leaving me iwthout much of a sense of immersion in the game since the value of my choices is entirely random.  It was also unclear what triggered mind or body changes, respectively.  This feels a lot like a proof of concept.  It's fun for a brief period, but after a game or two you'll prefer to just mess with the debugger to see what everyone's transformations look like.

There's the potential for a great game in here, if the developer can flesh this out and give it a bit more direction.

Great game. Good diversion - just needs more characters!

Any chance of a macOS compatible version? I was under the impression unity could export as that.

v0.1.0:

Finally got around to this game. It is not a bad distraction for a short game in its current version: rock, paper and scissors; loser gets transformed.

Graphics for the game are quite acceptable. There are enough characters to play with to see how the game works and the interactivity in the game is very simple, so there is no chance of getting it wrong. Programming is fair and I did not find the computer cheating to win out of the games I played with each of the character pairings available. But other than what you can play now there isn't much to this release version.

Certainly worth a look and I am keen to see further work with Unity engine from you.

Fantastic execution of a classic concept, and the visual style of the changes hits it right off the bat. I somewhat miss textual descriptions to go along with it, but that's really just icing on the cake anyway. I really would love to see more content!
