Escape the Nebula is a transformation scenario for TFJeweled written by OT Piccolo. The "Other" transformation is more specifically a transformation to an alien species.

You are the captain of the USS Aldebaran, exploring space where no human has gone before. Currently, you're mapping a strange nebula. After measuring its size, you decide to fly in to get more data of this nebula. You notice pretty fast, that the unique make up of it scrambles your scanners. You can only get data of the nearaest vicinity. Your shields seem to interact strangley with this area too, as if they were 'flickering' on and off. And you're getting this strange vibe, as if something isn't quite right here. So you give the order to turn around and fly back out of the nebula.

"Sir, something approaching us fast, it..." and something crashes into you, rocking your ship. Warning signs flash and alarm sounds. "Captain, we've been hit by multiple small asteroid. It penetrated our shields and has torn a large fracture into our hull at the engines and some smaller cracks all over the ship. The engine got damaged form the impact and went offline. We're without manoeuvring capabilities until it is repaired."

"Send repair crews to all damaged part of the ships." you order. "But the engine is our top priority, so that we get out of this area. And man the weapon stations, and blast any asteroid that dares to hit us." You notice with dread, that a crack has appeared on the bridge too. But strangely, no air gets sucked out. Instead, some of the nebula is 'creeping' in, slowly filling the bridge. You hope that it isn't toxic or anything else.
