The game is about a a young guy who makes a deal to achieve his dreams of being a musician, but gets a lot more than he bargained for. You'll manage your daily life as you struggle to make it as a musician in the big city. But be careful as various elements attempt to steer you off the path of your dreams
This game is still very early in development so there are a good bit of placeholder elements, bugs, typos, and incomplete features. This is a rather ambitious project I'm undertaking so I ask that you be patient as develoment happens.

***OLD SAVES WILL NOT WORK AND WILL LIKELY BREAK YOUR GAME***
This update mostly focuses a lot on cleaning up annoyances and making the world feel a tad more "alive." I would have liked to expand the main story but I just haven't had time lately.
This release has some very incomplete features. Especially the random dating system and barista jobs. Much is placeholder outside the coffee shop date. These will be a lot more feleshed out in the weeks to come.
Not so much a walkthrough but some tips.
If you're having trouble keeping your happiness up, try relaxing in the park, exercising, visiting the Live House, or smoking. Also working a high stress job like the waitress one too often every day is a sure way to make Claire sad very quickly. (Alcohol will also increase happiness next version)
If you like to explore try to avoid doing it at night, and you should keep a can of pepper spray handy. It is the big city after all.
If you find it tedious combing your hair and doing your makeup every morning, feel free to auto-apply it from the settings menu.
Leaving the Live House totally wasted can have the unfortunate side effect of attracting unwanted attention.
Game is in early development and likely old saves won't work correctly.

Fixes/Changes
Really hope it will get updated good game!!
1st off, I like the game. I like the games where you have to live and survive and build up your skills etc...
I really liked the beginning the prolog and then the 'magical' part happened and I was thinking I really liked this game up till now. Only because the prolog is written really well and no hint of magic. However, I played on and once you are into the city, it has a lot of potential.
I hope to see updates. I would not nitpic about things like the description as it's early on in the game. Lots of potential!
I loved the premise of the game. It might not be revolutionary with player character being forcefully transformed at the beginning of the game, but it's a solid fonudation for a game. And the reason for the change is something original the game introduces that could be an interesting change.
However... The game is unplayable. I really don't know how to put it nicely, so I'm just gonna be blunt: It's 95% grind and 5% content. For example, to go from your apartment in Queens to Manhattan you need to 1) go outside, 2) head to subway, 3) enter subway, 4) choose Manhattan, and 5) confirm random filler event. Oh, and guess where's recording studio you'll need to often visit is located. The game has other red flags as well such us having to go to convinience store to buy toiletries, going to bathroom to shower in the morning etc. In fact, the first thing you do once you leave prologue is to Look For Job, right? Lol, nope, you silly goose. You have to first go outside, check the news stand, get back to the street level and then go back to your apartment. I guess Do It for the Band Man! universe does not have cellphones...
Another annoying aspect is balance of the game. Playing it would give you an impression that people get mugged at gunpoint multiple times a day in New York. Why would anyone live there? And what's worst, the mugger always takes all your money off you. In many life simulation games credit cards either don't exist or are introduced just to include additional grind to the game. DIftBM! is no exception. The tenth time you are mugged you wish you enabled suicide bad ending at the start of the game so that your character would finally commit suicide to free you of the misery of grinding the game.
For a minor complain, I wish game developers stopped including placeholder locations. When you explore Manhattan you can discover variosu landmarks such as Statue of Liberty or Broadwae. But all you get is a placeholder screen with no content. Those only serve to annoy the player and clutter the interface.
Having wrote all that, I believe this game has potential and there are chances that authors don't intend for it to be full of grind. While at the moment there is no auto-shower-in-the-morning option, it has automatically apply makeup and automatically brush hair options. It also has a "Go to Work" option right in your apartment so you don't have to navigate the city each day. It just need smore of those shortcuts, removal of some of the grindy elements and rebalance of the mugging. For example, add "Shower each Morning" option alongside with option to automatically apply makeup, brush hair, shave etc. Either assusme infinite supply of toiletries (so there's no need to go to convenience store to buy them) or add an option to auto buy them when they run out. Get rid of subway and taxi systems (they add nothing to the story or gameplay) and just list all the available locations on single screen. Dramatically reduce probability of mugging and cap how much they can steal.
This still could be a good game, but at the moment it's sadly unplayable.
Played version 0.2.1, and it looks like the development started all over in between.
There are some improvements in game mechanics(except for the obvious bugs), but most of the story is gone.
Once the prolog is over, MC has transformed to a girl for all practical purposes outside the bathroom.
It looks like the game is a pretty good base to build a story, with events endangering the facade, and a MC on a scary path to a life as a pop star (or a devil's slave...)
I would definatley love to see this one continue , the concept and charaters are great , it leaves you wanting more .....
