You play as Eve, a college student who along with her friend Sandy is pressganged into investigatiing an abandoned mansion. The mansion turns out to be haunted and you must find your way into its inner sanctum to confront the master of the house, his will being the only hope of escape.
Gameplay resembles 90s adventure games in that you have to wander around until you find the right items to use in the right way to progress. All items you can pick up are used directly on objects in the mansion in some way. There is no combining of inventory items or using them on each other. I have tried to make the required steps fairly logical, and there are usually hints to be found in dialogue and flavor text. Speaking of which, almost everything in the game that looks vaguely interesting has some kind of flavor text, most of which is useless but amusing.
There are various transformations to be found throughout the mansion. I wanted to make a game in which the transformations persist after they occur, rather than causing the game to end, which is so common in games of this nature. One leads to a bad end, but any other transformation you find will stick with you until the end of the game. Most of them require two interactions, or are fairly obviously signposted so you can avoid them if you want.
For a list of transformations and how to acquire them see the discussion thread.
Update 1.0.1 - Fixed the piano bug. Not sure why it might have been crashing after selecting new game, but most people don't seem to have that problem. Hopefully it was just because of the piano bug.
This is a very fun game - it doesn't try to do too much, like a lot of games on this website attempt (and fail) to do. Instead, it's a nice, contained little game with decent variety
Game freezes to black screen after selecting "New Game". Will crash if window is maximized.
For me, this game is currently unplayable due to techical issues.
