Pandemonium Classic: Unity Edition

Pandemonium Classic: Unity Edition is a 3d version of House of Pandemonium/the Classic mode in Runes of Pandemonium; which are both fantasy themed arena survival tf games.

This game includes some assets from Runes of Pandemonimum with permission from its dev (SaltyJustice); and also many from House of Pandemonium for which the dev (passelel) has given general permission for derivative works.

- Willpower weapons (pendulum/pocketwatch).

- Latex golem transformation.

- A bunch of hopefully-help-with-log-reading changes: pausing, an auto pause during transformations, a tf-cam with larger log + focused on your character (toggleable), a tf speed option and an alternate layout with a larger log section.

- Bee (worker/queen) and doll (all types from Chambers plus Pygmalie playable) transformations

- Large number of additional rooms
- Evil double transformation (new trap)

Prototype 8:
- Added Maid tf
- Made Dark Cloud playable
- Added some mid-tf harpy images
- The mansion is now randomly generated from a (currently small) selection of rooms
- UI graphics have been added
- Text log has been decluttered (particularly, messages from other rooms are no longer seen and floating damage numbers replace 'a hit b for c damage' messages)
- A minimap has been added
- Spawn weights can now be set for monsters and traps, as can game difficulty, combat difficulty and mansion size
- An inventory screen has been added
- A few other minor features, bugfixes

Prototype 7:

- Added in the other two protagonists (Jeanne/Lotta)

Honestly great game all around.

- Full of diverse TF options.

- Different kinds of mind control, possession. 

This game has everything, the only thing that would honestly make this game a 10/10 would be to include actual 3D Models, and maybe be able to see our body when we look down instead of just the 2D Sprite. 

Another thing that could make this game even more awesome is to include a multiplayer mode, it would be great if we could work together with other real people or fight against them as well. 

Honestly other than that, this is one of the best games in here.

Probably one of the greatest games on this site. That's a big claim but it does something no one else does, does it well and does a whole lot of it. (Full disclosure: I helped in a pretty big way enable this game to be made. The character creator program needed mods found, I found a lot of them.)

Overview:

Pandmeonium classic Unity edition is a survival arena game where a group of girls find themselves in a manor and have to try and escape before they get TFed by the monsters that show up. It's basically an FPS where you run around the mansion trying to find weapons and ways to escape before the monsters TF you. The game doesn't end when you get TFed, you just play as a monster trying to TF the other humans. Except for the other Pandemonium games nobody else does this. There are 80+ kinds of monsters each with their own TF sequence and style of gameplay as them.  Also in it's favor is that you can modify just about every setting in the game which lets you make your own sandbox of fun. Beyond even that the author has opened up the game for mod support and made the source code available.

Art and design:

The art's functional, but more importantly expressive and does an excellent job of conveying what the monsters are like. It's all 2d sprites made in 3DCG. The mansion is pretty barebones, but it's obvious the focus is on being easy to understand over being pretty.

Gameplay: An FPS sort of thing but with a focus on melee. It does the job, but isn't exceptional. The problem that keeps it from being great is that the melee isn't much fun. NPCs move erratically and turn so quickly that actually catching one to hit can be a challenge sometimes. They added range weapons so if you can't get the melee down you can still defend yourself. I'm not sure what they could do differently to fix melee though, I doubt they have the budget to make a TF dark souls. Every monster has it's own gameplay gimmick which is impressive, although balancing is an ongoing progress. Perhaps most importantly ways to win were added so you have a goal to work towards. A lot of the gameplay is enjoying losing is fun until you figure out the systems on offer.

TF content: Great! There is a lot of TF in a lot of varieties hitting on a lot of popular themes. Each monster has it's own flavor but every monster has a volunteer variation which is a nice touch. The game was originally exclusively transformation of women, but they even went back and added a MTF transformation. Also has four seperate insect girls, bee, ant, mantis, moth, scorpions and lovebugs. It's some good stuff. One thing to watch out for is that there is very little sex in this game. If you want sex and TF this isn't the right game.

Conclusion: I really recommend at least trying this game, it's something no one else is doing. If you like monster-girl TF and the related corruption and mental changes it's a must try. If you just want a lot of TF sequence it's also good to pick up. On top of all that it's complete! The author again has opened it up to mods so who knows what else might get added!

i really love this game running around  fighting monsters loosing to them and getting to fight humans is great the number of items monsters and rooms you can explore is out standing and its definately a plus that a transformation is not a game over the dev for this variant is very responsive and active in fixing any bugs and open to new ideas they have even been helpful with getting it to run better on my 14 year old potato computer there is really not any cons i can find right now other than like i said my potato computer strugles with the game at times

Pandemonium Classic: Unity Edition is a great game if you are looking for a sandbox transformation game. I say this because most of the games on this site are either you transform people or people/monsters transform you but this game gives you the option to choose what type of monster you are and transform people or you can have have a whole house of monsters come and try to change you while you try to escape using one of the three methods. There are multiple settings that you can use that gives you a set of monsters or you can select them yourself. I find it to be the perfect scenerio creating game because of all the settings to customize everything to your needs.

Now onto the part that I have small problems with. I found that with the diplomacy setting I have yet to have it change the behavior of any of the humans or monsters. I tried everything to see if setting different monsters from hating humans to being neutral or allied with humans would work and none of it has. Another thing is that the difficulty scale between the three escape options to be unbalenced. I understand having a easy medium and hard one but I find that the key and stone escape methods are way too easy compared to the portal one.

One last thing before giving the final part of my review. As most people can tell from finding this game after finding the official game first or just reading the creators message this game is based on the House of Pandemonium Remastered game. Now although it is supposed to be played as one of the protagonists of that game I would enjoy a little more characters or even in the future if the creator made a game similar that had a bit more of a wider range of playable characters or even more monsters/transformations that weren't all based on a monster (even though there are some that aren't).

Most of the cons are just personal little things but I felt like putting it out there. All of that said I would still consider this game to be nearly perfect with the only thing that brings it down are some incomplete settings or ideas that are yet to come and when they do I will update this review but for now I would say the game is an 8.5/10.
