Summer of Shame (Office Bully 2)

Ah, the Scaldini factor.

Big plans, exciting plot outline, and this time there's multiple paths in the erotic "novel". For real, pinkie promise. And we will hit all the tags ticked, too, for once.

Then he delivers a boring railroaded thing that barely qualifies as a story with a few pseudo branches that feed back into the main one two or three clicks down the line. If it gets too inconvenient he brings out his frustrating plot killer, the deus ex machina psycho "therapist", a veritable mind butcher brainwashing any semblance of free will from the current victim. Taking all the few character traits of the mc with it, leaving a hollow shell no one cares about any more when they inevitably "realise" they actually want to be happy little slaves. Of their own, mind controlled volition, we need to stress that, don't want to get creepy here. How infinitely bland and boring.

Contrary to Logans repeated promise, the mc never accomplishes anything in his works and you don't play from a submissive Point-of-View. That would require actual effort and consensual submission by the mc, not driving all the plot completely by mind control.

I don't blame him for delivering boring same-old plots as he isn't in the business of telling stories, he makes a killing on patreon by selling the story line to the highest bidder and such is plot development by a committee of terminally horny wankers.

But I do blame him for over-promising and under-delivering time and time again. He should know by now the highly specific tastes of his clientele and they do not ever include complicated plot twists or multiple paths. Matter of fact they do not include anything that would require you to think with your brain.

I guess it might well be possible he really believes this time he gets to tell the story he imagined originally with all the choices and complications. It is, after all, not very enticing to have to begin delivering the umpteenth rendition of the same sad excuse for what in his mind likely starts as an exciting game.

He himself seems mind controlled by his patrons, destined to forever dish out slop to this crowd. Pays well, though...

Logan's games - they really really leave me in a twist.

Technical:
I run Linux.

And Logan says its HTML. It isn't. Its either an elf or an exe.
And the elf doesn't run.
"error while loading shared libraries: libgconf-2.so.4: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"
And when this is fixed it fails again.
"Segmentation fault (core dumped)"
Someone really fucked up here.
Also the UI, including saves,  aren't good.

The graphics and sound is good.
The game-play is good. Some aspects are too staged. But compared to most of the rest nothing to complain.

You get more or less turned into a girl.

If the game would be HTML I would endorse the game without any doubt.

But so the Linux variant doesn't work.

Online it is slow. Offline it faster, but not fast.

This isn't a sissification game although there's a tag and pictures showing as such. There is no such route. I'm not sure why the creator would do that. Since the beginning of the route, the game insists that the player is a girl and not a sissy. Even at the chastity scene there is a choice and the dialogue insists that "even though you are not a sissy and this thing is for sissies you can put it on but you're not a sissy"

If you're uncomfortable with writing sissy content (which is perfectly fine) then don't lead players into thinking this is! that's just plain wrong

Logan Scodini's games, like Anaximanes's games, have a very distinct flavor. If you ever played one, you kinda know what to expect. Myself, I like his games. Yes, they're more visual novels than games, and that is fine by me. I also understand that not everybody enjoys how comparatively quick the journey from ordinary person to submissive slut happens in his games, but once again, I'm okay with it. I like fast change, even when the mental aspects are a bit unrealistic. Then again, I'm the sort of player that always goes with the "non-resisting, 100% slut" in corruption games. :)

The 3d renders can be an acquired taste. One reviewer below said they've been spoiled by games that use porn gifs. That is a fair point. But I still think the renders are a bit more immersive, since the creator can mantain an uniformity of style and character that is impossible by using porn gifs from disparate sources.

There is, however, one criticism often directed at Scodini that I sort of agree with. The way the stories are very linear make it so you WILL have to go through fetishes that are not your stuff, to get through the scene. One review of Dream Therapy complained about being unable to avoid MF content. I have the opposite problem. I don't much care for lesbianism and fem-dom directed at me. When I'm changed into a woman, I like to be fucked by guys. I think Logan's games would be better if there were more choices, for players who are mostly into MF, FF, or both.  

The games/stories of Logan Scodini are unique and they worth to be tried at least once.

Saying that, I began to skip the latest updates and my interest cooled down. Kolka's review (below) explains everything I could say.

I found earlier games more interestinng and less monotonous. Transformed in Wonderland, for example - never completed unfortunately.

Anyway, it's just me. Give it a try.
