Journey of the Verdant traveler is a light hearted game that aims to balance erotic content and RPG style exploration and combat. Heavily inspired by games like "The Hero we need" , "Journey of the Verdant Traveler" aims to provide a variety of "Bad Ends" and transformations, with special emphasis on what happens after the transformation happens.
Average guy Eric awakens cold and alone in a mysterious snow covered world. However everything is not as it seems, and Eric swiftly realizes not everone is to be trusted...
While most objects in the world are interactable, this is entirly optional and all keys and plot relevant items will be found in treasure chests!

First part of overwold completed (enemies, items, npc, etc)
First Floor of the school "dungeon" completed!
Both companions now have 2 unique abilities!
-Version 1: Inn is completed, and the first two optional areas are introduced (totally unfinished)
Very light-hearted indeed. I got what I wanted and wasn't disappointed. The detail of everything to the tiniest gives this game a quirky charm that has rarely been done. While I'd like you to keep this style, I imagine it was very time consuming. There is a good story in there, but at this moment it remains to be unseen.
This game has come a long way. The earlier version I played was super buggy, but this one seems to have resolved most of them while adding a more central story. I look forward to seeing the adventures that the MC and Emelia get up to next time!
This review might be a little biased, due to the author's stated inspiration but I'll give my honest take anyway. I had some freetime and finally played The Verdant Traveler and sat down to try it.
Needless to say, I was not expecting it to be that fun. Straight up 10/10 out the gate. The game seems a very polished improvement from their first version. The combat is short but numerous enough to be quick and enjoyable, the exploration aspect is genuinely good, the jokes and humors on-point and cheeky, but my favorite part of all is, oh my the endings. The bad ends are just.. fantastic. All of them interactive, rich and playable, with the interactions pf being able to go around talking to people/examining things in the perspective of your new personality.
My favorite ending would have to be the 'normal girl' one, felt a little bad for the girl, being brainwashed to be so not-adventurous but it was really unique and strange, I like forced plainification content like that. (From what it seems like the School area will have more like that too!) And ALL twinning too, OMG! From the Cindy twinning to the Maid, to the literal twins! It has basically all the topics I dabble in and the writings high quality too.
What can I say? It's just really enjoyable overall and I loved this. The dev really knows what they're doing and has hit the mark when it comes to kinks that rpg games can offer. I really look forward to where this goes! The only regret is I got to the end of the content and found out I'd have to wait for more to see the next area finished
PS: Oh, and there was one small want. After beating the hotel area, a part of me was kinda hoping there'd be a direct Anna or Emelia twinning. They both seem like fun and unique characters. Emelia especially, I'd be amazed if there was a scene becoming her clone and the two arguing about being a hero or villain together, coming up with quips and speeches ect.
Interesting start, self aware humor, and multiple bad ending varients. I really enjoyed the game thus far and am looking forward to checking out your future work!
So far, there's enough for an introduction, and what an introduction it is! I look very forward to seeing where this game goes next!
