Torei, a planet as reclusive as it is infamous, has opened itself to the galaxy. Known for its cultural inclination towards bondage, slavery, and the glossy material known as laminate, travelers are cautioned to be wary while on the surface-- some say the allure of a collar can surprise even the strongest willed, but many others simply find themselves caught in a system seemingly designed to enslave. And you just woke up in a Torean hotel, memory full of holes, without a credit to your name.
Can you make it off planet? Do you want to?
At over 500,000 words, with 25+ completed endings, Lost in Laminate is nearly completed. Focused around latex and bondage, become a catgirl, a laminate doll, a sex slave, or even a nun. All sorts of interesting things await you on Torei! Transformational content involves body modification, permanently becoming a variety of latex-covered roles/things, and some drone (and drone-like) content.
The Protagonist: a woman who wakes up with a very battered memory, with only a day to get across the Ringdom of Aekora and escape the planet-- if that's truly what they want. Besides some basic descriptions, the character is meant to be very mallable, allowing you to roleplay as you wish!
Isabella Naram-Sin: a Torean born Mistress, and independent trader, you will encounter her early in the game. She's an excellent source of cultural knowledge regarding Torei and its strange customs, and she has a vested interest in seeing you explore more of them. For those truly dedicated, she may even be willing to offer a more permanent sort of arrangement...
Michael: a member of the Liberty Society, dedicated to changing the Torean cultural appreciation of slavery, Michael is willing to help you out of bondage, and even pay you for some work. Some of that work can be rather demeaning however... but its for a good cause! A Truant Officer nearby is interested in his organization though, and one does wonder if the Liberty Society stops at merely raising awareness...
Sister Euphoria: a fully vowed and vested Sister of the Order of the Primrose, Sister Euphoria offers guidance in a variety of intersting programs, if you're willing to explore your deepest desires. You can also help her Order collect alms, and pick up a wayward member who needs escorting. Those who show true interest in the Order may get an offer to join them...
Corinth: a lifelong friend, although in your current state you struggle to remember much of that. Nevertheless she has come to Torei to find you, fearing for your safety. What will she find on the planet, however? A friend in need of help? Or one who's already submitted to the planet's temptations? Perhaps Corinth could even be swayed to try out a few things...
...and lots more!
As an interactive narrative, you can't really get stuck or "lose". Different paths open up depending on your choices, with branching storylines and encounters entirely dependent on your interests! (As long as they involve laminate, the space-age material we would call latex).
The changelog is hosted on my site, link below, or anywhere else I post the game.
Updates and my other games can be found here: https://iconoclast.neocities.org/
It's one of the best games on the site in my honest opinion. There are some twists and turns that deviate from the true ending if thats what you want to call the normal one and all of them are quite enjoyable. My only complaint is that it doesn't last forever cause I was enjoying every moment and every replay. While there arent a ton of transformations and when there are they are fairly instantaneous the latex suits and such are the real gems in this game and the images are perfect.
It would be interesting to see a game taking place in the same universe and planet but with an open-world twist on it though it would take a long time to make and most open-world experiences on TFgames.site tend to never be finished. I am curious as to what this developer has to come with next and I would gladely pay for another gem like this one. Keep up the good work.
There is a lot more in this game than I was expecting. I guess I got used to playing unfinished games from this site because I was very impressed when this one kept going. A lot of Twine games end up running afoul of the "too many plot threads to handle" issue and either end up slowing to a glacial update pace, with an ever-increasing number of threads splitting off that are all short and remain unfinished for years, or the threads all merge back together and previous choices are undone or otherwise rendered irrelevant. This game seems to deftly avoid that problem, so far, having choices that remain relevant even if they might lead to similar end points. And on a lot of occasions, I thought I was about to reach a bad end and the game kept going, offering more choices and more branching threads.
The writing is quite good and the worldbuilding is interesting, and the plot is actually intriguing. I found myself wanting to keep playing not just for the sexy stuff, which is very sexy, but also to solve the mystery of the main character's possibly-self-inflicted memory loss.
A couple caveats:
1. This game doesn't have a lot of transformation. It's alluded to several times (specifically transformations of the "body modification" variety like breast augmentation and such) and there are a few mild tf scenes, but not many.
2. I don't know for sure, but I imagine this game is probably less fun for doms than it is for subs. Dom and Sub are both listed as themes for this game but the vast majority of the content I found was submissive in nature. Your character wakes up with amnesia, bound to a bed, and it only gets kinkier and subbier from there.
Overall, I really liked it. If you're a fan of latex and bondage you should definitely give this a try.
I am a little biased since I love sci fi settings and am more than a little partial to latex as well, but this is by far one of my favorite html games on the site!
Writing = A+
Images = A (could always use more ;))
Replayability A+
I usually don´t play text only (or almost text only) games here, but this is good enough to have kept me hooked for a couple of hours. Storytelling is good and there are some neat sci-fi ideas packed in it, partially to make the omnipresence of latex more plausible. Recommended
v8.0.0:
Tough call. The story is written well, but this is a hardcore fetish story for the latex lovers out there. Grammer and spelling errors are rare, but they are present though not enough to throw off your enjoyment of the game. Interactivity in the game is moderate with an active background timer, items to retrieve and use, time based choices and the usual CYOA exploring of a coded Twine game. Images in the story are appropriate, but they'll come across as tame if you're a horror fan or hardcore BDSM fan.
And this is where it gets tricky because while I played through the game and avoided all of the bad endings pathways (you do get warned to reconsider if you're about to do something incredibly stupid) and got Ending 2 (which is apparently the best ending in the game), I didn't really enjoy myself while playing because I didn't actually hit any transformations at all. The game "transformations" are all mental while you're playing as your avatar becomes corrupted to the world that they find themselves in and physical transformations are limited to the endings only: everything else is bondage based items.
The saving grace of the game is the writing: it is excellent and does the noir mystery thing well right up into the shocking revelations you hit upon. While only about a fifth of the NPCs you encounter are actually more than one-dimensional, there is consequence to your actions and the NPCs that do have backstory are connected to the endings in their own way, which was a nice touch.
This is a difficult game for me to give a final verdict on and I feel that the heart of it will come down to if you are a dominate person or a submissive person. As a dominate person, I blazed through this game and only compromised when I absolutely had to in order to figure out the mystery before I made my final decisions and knew I'd locked in the good ending pathway... maybe that compromised my enjoyment? Tricky to say, but it's plausible since I had no hesitation burning bridges to achieve my objective as risk-free as possible. But a submissive person playing to enjoy the thrill of the game? Would they have enjoyed it more while still trying for the best ending? There's the real questions.
Ultimately it was the lack of transformations during the game that tipped my opinion: I wanted to access the physical transformations after the game told me about it to see if it would hinder me getting the best ending, but I couldn't because it's not written into this game version.
Cautiously recommended. Very recommended if you are into latex play or BDSM.
