Battle Quest is a adventure RPG with an erotic and tf spin! Begin a quest to save the Deep Woods - gain gold, experience, and new abilities. All the while, form friendships, alliances, and relationships as you strive for power and dare to stop the Dark Redeemer. Beware, the Deep Woods is a strange place. Prepare to be transformed in body and mind as you wrestle with this cursed, magical land.
This game tries to balance story, combat, and erotica. The sex scenes should be as fun and frequent as the boss battles. The idea is you come for the lewdness, but you stay for the engrossing storyline and challenging (but fair) gameplay!
The game is complete. I don't own the music or images so I'm not monetizing it. Feel free to support me if you want, but there's of course no obligation. The game is fully available to the public. Beyond the Kingdom of Man lies the Deep Woods. A lost, harrowing woodland, home to all kinds of unfathomable evils. None dare tread there.
And yet, that's exactly where you're headed. After failing your king, you have been offered one last chance at redemption. Find and thwart the evil rising in the Deep Woods, or never return.
But nothing in the Deep Woods is quite as it appears. Saving your future will demand you to face your past.
These Woods will change you - for good or ill... that's up to you.
You - a hero or heroine with a dark past who dares to face off against the Deep Woods and redeem himself (or herself) in the eyes of the King.
Babar Ogho - a cowardly merchant from the Great Occident. What could possibly bring such a man to the Deep Woods?
Scyllia - the Scarlet Witch, a fearsome guardian of the Deep Woods and powerful magic user.
Naya - a headstrong elven girl on a mission of her own.
The Dark Redeemer - a mysterious malefactor hellbent on drawing the power within the Deep Woods to his nefarious will.
If you've played an old-school RPG, you'll be fine. Venture forth into the unknown, do battle, complete your quests! Some general advice:
One important note: Battle Quest generates what you encounter each day in a semi-random fashion. Sometimes, you might not advance the main quest because you just haven't 'rolled right' when you venture forth in the morning. Keep questing. Keep exploring. You'll get there soon. And extra gold and exp doesn't hurt!!!

Stellar, compelling, and an actual game. Multiple romance and class options with real skill differences keep replay fresh. Absolutely worth playing.
I don't think this game makes much sense, Theres a fight with a Count that has an ability to full heal every other turn.
Wonderfully written Tolkien-esque COYA story, wish I would have seen the Walkthrough as I took Naya's path and things didn't happen... I had thought messing with Lilith meant I was denied...
Very rarely do I find myself tempted to review a game based upon purely subjective tastes rather than being inspired to praise (or criticize) -- primarily -- a game's objective merits. However, profound disappointments prompt profound responses. I'll be very upfront and frank about it. I was so wholly turned off by the rigid linking of "turning more into a woman = railroaded into cocks/androphyllia" that I just dropped the game, which is a rarity for me. Most games, if I'm ever going to drop them, get dropped near the beginning when it's clear that I won't be interested in the game's content. However, for the first rough hour or two of the game here, I was hooked. Obviously, sugarcube/twine is not going to be cranking out some kind of AAA masterpiece or anything, but for the limits of the engine, this was it -- this was the game that would really demonstrate just how good a "short, well-written, thoughtfully-balanced little Twine RPG" could be. The writer was obviously skilled, and -- boy howdy -- they obviously put plenty of thought and refinement into the combat. Sure, there are obvious picks, noob traps, and some fights that basically turn into "buff yourself, spam the 1 key, and pray the enemy doesn't perma-boost their armor to insane levels," but there is just one problem. One tiny, yet simultaneously-insurmountable problem.
I do not like cocks. Ever. Damn it. Why will games not let me turn my character into a woman and retain attraction to and get attraction from exclusively women? Listen, I get it. The creator certainly just has specific tastes. That's fine. But it was a sore disappointment -- a gut punch, if you will -- to have my character in the last stages of being a man get romantic build-up from Naya (because who doesn't want to romance a cute elf girl???), only to suddenly find out that, if I go through with turning my character into a full woman (the thing I planned to do from the beginning, because I knew TG was a possible part of the game), not only does that just completely lock out that romance, but it won't even compromise by letting me be a futanari (which I also don't want, but fuck it I'd be willing to settle for that if I absolutely have to), AND it just definitively declares without any input from me WHATSOEVER that Naya now just looks "plain."
That right there was enough to make me drop the game. Granted, I did not see the "FF" tag in the listed tags, so I suppose this is on me in a sense, but like I said, I'd have been willing to settle for futanari/female (which doesn't count as FF, so might not be in the tags), but, man, sometimes all a man can do is post a review to express their profound heartbreak at the insurmountable reality of the limited set of options an otherwise-great game is programmed to acommodate. I just felt very defeated. To a certain extent, the game's insistence that all sexual content simply must involve a cock of some kind felt... almost vindictive? Like, I don't know, you make an RPG with sexual content in it, right, and then go out of your way to specifically exclude that while including futanari-on-futanari? It seems baffling to me. Even restricting myself to the most generous interpretation possible, I could say "well, if the author doesn't like lesbian content, they don't have to cater to it and force themself to write scenes dedicated to that," and -- yes -- that is very true, but in that case I would simply counter with, "did the game REALLY have to go out of its way to force the fat fuck shopkeep to kiss my character once they turned into a woman? Did it HAVE to specify that my attraction to Naya was gone? The game easily could have just included a toggle to cut events like that out and leave me as an ambiguously woman-attracted female adventurer who just happens to not romance anyone." No, it decided it had to declare that "screw you; you WILL be a straight woman if you do not have a futa penis," and that, to me, is just intolerable. Not for everybody -- I'm sure many people are salivating at reading that description, and I'm happy for those that are -- but for me, there was no recourse but to lay out these feelings, right here and right now.
I will not rate the game anything lower than a 4/5 as far as Twine games go, but it left me with nothing but sadness and frustration in the end. Play it if you like aggressively-enforced "heterosexual balance" in your TG scenarios.
In Lobsterman9999, Battle Quest incorporates a fascinating plot with steamy erotica and impeccable worldbuilding. This was a lovely story to engage with, which only piques my interest in how The Good Son will conclude.
Thank you for the amazing content!
