Starwatch Academy is an interactive adventure set in the distant future. You can start the game as either male or female. While you may choose to perform a complete transformation towards the opposite gender, with the right choices you can also stay anywhere on the spectrum and live your life as a transgender, androgynous or feminized student.
The game is set to feature a diverse range of kinks. Some of the more extreme kinks are optional and can be skipped. No important content will be lost by doing so. Most kinks are accessed through scene specific choices, so if you don’t like something, you can choose to not see it on the fly.
My current goal is to gather initial feedback on the story, premises of the game, the overall look and feel and possible technical issues that may already be experienced.
I hope you will have fun playing this game as much as I have fun working on it.

Due to performance issues with our original host, online play is now available on our itch.io page.

One of the good storylines in the site with a lot of lore and technicalities. Shops are good, clothing system is good, overall this game has a lot of systems already in place, but it can't just execute it properly. So many things, so many options, and so many things to remember, all this makes Starwatch Academy a good story with little to do.
In contrast Devs have other game Silent Echo, and that game is laser focused at being a porn game with story where as Starwatch Academy is a story with little bit of porn bits.
While the changelog section looks extensive, there's actually very little to do in this game. You just keep clicking to pass the time, go back to your bedroom to know where an event with someone is happening, they go click on the same event you've already seen 10 times in hopes that your relationship with this character might change, it probably won't because the game is extremely incomplete.
Despite the nice little mini-game in the Geneforge Labs, all the different jobs are just looking at the same random text for the 20th time to get credits. Credits that are just going to sit idly in your pocket because there's nothing to do with them except for body mods, which barely affect interactions. What little content is there is essentially pointless as going to Support Class, going to the Arcade, or studying at the Archives don't change anything.
The presentation is nice, one massive plus this game has is that it uses art specifically made for it, and said art is actually quite good. It's also cool to have so many characters to form relationships with. But right now the game desperately needs more content. I'm looking forward to seeing what it will look like one year from now on.
v0.3.2b:
Writing for the game is strong with world building and character background information being well developed even with this release, along with motivational understanding for your own avatar player character; you'll always know what you're doing and what is going on around you. Interactivity in this game is high because it is a world simulation story (think Battle Quest, Corruption of Champions and T.I.T.S., the benchmark references for this sort of game) with your decisions mattering and having an effect on not just your own avatar progress, but also how other NPCs react and associate with you. Graphics in the game are great quality with portrait images of NPCs, details of your own avatar (including the transformations in the game), scenes in the game that you can be involved in and finally the usual static backgrounds of locations and items. Sound in the game is good with suitable music and appropriate sound effects (what few there are) in the game run for this release. Transformations in the game right now are restricted to the MtF and in-between body alterations for Female avatars, but it works for the reality of the universe and the set rules of the galatic society your avatar operates in. Personally I'd like to see more transformations in the game, especially of your avatar, but I don't know if this is a future planned thing for later releases or not so we'll have to wait and see.
This game is one where you as the player are deciding how successful, rebellious or degenerate you want your avatar to be while also finding their place within the game world. There are many NPCs to interact with, but with this are also the consequences of "decisions matter" and what you do with one NPC can cause problems with how you interact with other NPCs. There is an economy in this world, so there is a little grind where you need to work to earn credits to use on items (where most of the transformations are generated from), but it isn't too restrictive or plot derailing.
Recommended.
This is one of the most promising concepts I've seen on TFG. But after eight months and ten updates promising is still exactly what it is. With all those fairly minor updates there's a real risk that people get tired of it long before it becomes a playable game. I would suggest to the creator that they cut down on the update frequency and go for a few big ones rather than lots of small ones. Even if it takes a year or more, it's ok. This game seems to be worth waiting for.
Review update (almost) three months later: It's still one of the most promising concepts I've seen on TFG and it's still not really a game. It's marked as alpha and that's exactly what it is. It has started to develop amazingly fast though, it's just that the developers have focused on fleshing out the scenerey and NPCs rather than the game aspect. However, the developers have promised they will start doing some serious work on the gameplay soon and I can't wait!
A little bit about the various categories (as of August 2023)
Adult themes: Currently it's all FF, no MF. I have a feeling the focus will remain on FF with only a few token MF scenes, mostly with the PC as the male. If your thing is to be transformed into a woman and have a relationship with a man, this game will probably not be for you. But we'll see what future updates will bring. Sub/Dom content is there but very toned down, at least for now.
TF themes: Transformations are all instant, temporary and voluntary. The description here lists slow tf and the introduction hints at forced tf but neither exists in the game yet. Maybe later.
Multimedia:
So, ill start with the bad to get it out of the way.
This is a first release and there just isnt a whole lot of story yet. Basically nothing more than an intro that hints at the direction this game will take.
That being said this is definitely one of the cleaner and more polished UI's ive seen on this site, and thematically feels reminiscent of a certain scifi video game franchise.
interaction is self explanatory, smooth and bug free.
The writing, while there is little of it yet, is clean and very . . . organic might be a good way to phrase it. Not choppy broken english, nor the amatuerish product of people who were gifted in computer science but not so passionate about eng/lit in school. Instead it feels almost professional.
Unfortunately there is only enough here to occupy a couple of minutes, so i can not yet say its worth playing exactly, But definitely worth keeping an eye on.
UPDATE: Even more polish, new paperdoll. Thats it really. Im sure its a LOT of under the hood work, but ultimately this game needs more game. I look forward to the time we start seeing more frequent content updates. This continues to be very promising.
