[18+] The Exile of Aphrodisia 2023 is an adult transformation-themed game inspired by The Odyssey and The Oregon Trail. This is a Unity engine commercial remake of the free game we've had out for a few years now which includes some completely new features, hence the 2023 in the name.
One thousand years ago, the first humans crossed through a mysterious portal into a new magical world and settled on the island continent known as Aphrodisia. Now, however, humanity has just lost a war against the powerful Demon Empire and is being hunted down as slaves.
The last remaining hope for freedom is the ruined city of Niu Heym where, with any luck, at least some of your wards will be able to return to the humans' ancestral homeworld before the portal-gate closes for another thousand years.
You are an elf guide tasked with leading a small party of humans over a thousand kilometers west across all of Aphrodisia to the city of Niu Heym and the Portal Gate. With any luck, at least some of your wards will be able to return to the humans' ancestral homeworld before the portal gate runs out of rift charges. It is your job to try and get them there, but forces are acting against you, wishing to take some, or all, of your charges and to transform or enslave them.
This will be a long and dangerous trek… and you may not walk out on the same two feet! Are you up to the challenge?
- 230+ choose-your-own-adventure-style encounters where party members can be transformed into elves, wildmen, animals, monsters, statues, clothes, fairies, dinosaurs, and much, much more - 90+ afflictions, slow transformations that stay with party members, transforming them a little more bit by bit
- 25+ Fully illustrated player character transformations, complete with Instincts Kick-In events
- Unique epilogues for a victorious campaign, failures due to running out of rift charges, and failure due to losing all party members
- Two reworked player transformations, the manly dwarf and succubus sequences, which now trigger directly from the female starting elf form
- Party member customization: put yourself and your friends into the game and see what fate has in store for you, or if you'll be one of the lucky few to reach Niu Heym in your original body
- Hundreds of illustrations for encounters and afflictions by BeingObscene, Wrenzephyr, Unidentified-TF, Vjeol, Balile, Luxianne, AcuteGabby, and other talented transformation artists.
Cursed artifacts! These are very valuable items worth a lot of money to certain merchants, but keeping them with them presents its own sets of ever-growing risks! Will you risk it?
World map! See the continent of Aphrodisia with 18 hexagon-tile maps spanning the complete journey from east to west.
Player perks! Select up to three player perks to gather more food along the trail, gain the favor of the gods and goddesses, augment party members' skills, increase the amount of food your livestock produce, and more.
Save party member presets and see them populate in future assembled parties.
Advanced controls over specific encounters and check or uncheck precisely what you want to see in your playthrough.
Apothecary Experimental Treatments, risky and unpredicatble treatments offered by goblin witch-doctors at landmarks
Censored mode for art and text if you want it them for whatever reason.

V1.0.3, released February 27, 2023:
Quality of Life Updates:
- Players can now use the right and left arrow keys on the keyboard to click on the previous/next arrow buttons seen in events.
- Players can now control game speed via keyboard. Press alpha 0 or keypad 0 to pause, 1 for 1x speed, 2 for 2x speed, 3 for 4x speed, and 4 for 8x speed.
- Hitting the return key when the save panel is up now functions the same as having pressed the Save button with the mouse.
- Added new gameplay preference option to automatically sell all trade goods upon arriving at a landmark with an item shop. This includes any transformed party members who have become a trade good.
Mod Support Updates:
- Added in mod / 3rd part content support for most game content, including encounters, afflictions, player transformations, cursed artifacts, instincts kick in, player and party member epilogues, new items, foods, new artwork, and more.
-- By default the mods folder can be found at AppData\LocalLow\Blue Fairy Media LLC\The Exile of Aphrodisia (2023)\mods . The game will create this directory if it does not exist. Paste in folders with mod files to load them into the game.
-- When at least one mod has been added, a button will appear at the top-right of the title page that says "mods". Click on this to see a list of modded-in content and the ability to run validation checks to ensure data is well-structured.

Bugfixes:
- The Settings panel should now no longer be un-openable when playing on a 1366x768 resolution monitor. The game should initially open at the smallest supported resolution until the user manually changes it.
- Bugfix for censored mode text only not applying correctly
Dev / cheat command bugfixes:
- Move to snow / desert / jungle commands should now load the map correctly
Other:
- Audio sliders now use consistent slider styling
- The Rescue from the Ritual text replaces digigrade with unguligrade. Thanks to Shigar for pointing this out!
A great game - as short and sweet or long and arduous as you want, with the ability to make sure you can prune out content you've already seen. However, it has received very little post-launch support, a trend I hope is broken. A great standalone game, encouraging multiple playthroughs to see the most content rather than trying to see it all in one or two save files.
You know how much fun EoA was in its previous form? This is that, plus more features, plus better UI, PLUS even more fun!
I have played this a lot over time, and it was also included in the Beta. If you like Management/item management/Team Management/Random Transformation stories/Range of transformations, this game is fun and enjoyable. And it has a lot of replayability (though I know people who have played it so much they have already used up all the MASSIVE amounts of transformations!)
The changes between this version and the Free one are great and help pull the game together and make it fun to play. The free version was good, and I played it a lot, but now it has an added polish to it that makes the gameplay much more enjoyable.
I will admit I know the creator of the game personally, but I also know that the passion that has gone into this is amazing and certainly hasn't stopped yet!
Giving the Demo a shot allows understanding the gameplay, the changes and the new polish. Of course, the free version is still around, but I struggle to play the old version now because it feels so different a game now.
