Just an Ordinary CYOA

Hello Everyone! This is my first ever game on this site so I expect that it will need to be worked on a lot hence the Concept Development Status. I myself don't think I am great at writing but if you enjoy this let me know and if there are things you want me to try to fix I will try to but ask you to be a little patient since I am pretty slow on writing/fixing things so it might take me a while.

With that said Just an Ordinary CYOA is a long term CYOA project that I started on Deviantart last year where you play as a guy that just is going about his day and running into different scenerios based on where he goes and what he does.

Thank you if you do play it and let me know if there is anything that I can do to continue to make this more enjoyable <3

This is just a very short work-in progress project with 21 endings and a lot of parts that are incomplete as of right now. (Sorry for forgetting to put that when I originally posted this)

Version 0.4.1

Fixed Bug with Linux users where the Home picture didn't load.

Changed placement of pictures for endings so that they made more sense.

Closed all empty routes to cut search time for currently released paths down by a lot.

Version 0.4.0

21 endings

Updated review for 0.4.1:

Changes were implemented to make the game more enjoyable or at least less frustrating. Finished paths, even if short, are now easy to find. Dead ends are greyed out.

This is how the "gameplay" looked like for me before I gave up and closed it:

Go on the Computer -> Look at Your Emails -> Not Implemented Yet!

Go on the Computer -> Search the Web -> Not Implemented Yet!

Go on the Computer -> Watch Some Porn -> Not Implemented Yet!

Go on the Computer -> Overwatch -> Not Implemented Yet!

Go Out and Get a Job -> Not Implemented Yet!

Go to School -> Not Implemented Yet!

Clean up the House -> Not Implemented Yet!

Go to the Woods -> Not Implemented Yet!

Watch TV -> Watch something that isn't anime -> Not Implemented Yet!

Watch TV -> Anime -> Naruto -> Not Implemented Yet!

I was unable to get more than 2 seconds (this is not an exageration) of gameplay out of any of the paths I tried.

While I appreciate the effort, I don't think this enjoyable for anyone in its current form. I usually don't mind missing features or unimplemented paths, as long as there are finished paths, too. If there are finished paths in this game (I wouldn't know, because I gave up), mark them as such and make unfinished paths unclickable.

Hi!

Don't be discouraged, I see potential in what you're planning to do.

As other said, however, right now there might not be sufficient content to showcase what you're doing.

Working on a game is an iterative process, you just have to work on a path a little, and I'm sure when few more things are added it will be a nice game.

Love,

Sunshine

I can sum the game up like this is its current state , NOT IMPLEMENTED YET ........the only scenarios that worked were watching anime ,and the beach all ended too fast with no real story or substance ......so NOT IMPLEMENTED YET , or start over cause you hit a dead end .....neither will keep your players involved long   quick dead ends are not that entertaining In fact most people will just find it quickly annoying ..sorry if this sounds harsh  just honest .

Respectfully speaking, but this game is far, far too ambitious in scope and breadth of options, most of them unimplemented. If you want to make a real good CYOA, pick your favorite of the branches you have now and flesh that out into an actual scenario with varied TFs. Otherwise you'll burn out before really progressing with this.
