Iris Gate It’s a half rouge-like half visual novel game, inspired by game such as Vampire Survivors, Binding of Isaac, Star Knightess Aura and Monline. The game is built from the ground using Unity, the graphics are done with Kisekae, and the dialogue are done by me, me being not a native English speaker you may find some god-awful grammar and some bland text but one need to start somewhere, right?
I would love to hear your feedback!!!
News
Sadly either I’m missing something really obvious or simple lack the knowledge, I can’t make the mac version work so until further notice the game would be only on windows.

Good start to a game here.
-The basic mechanics are there, and all work decently well. Giving the enemies I-frames is odd to see and makes attack speed upgrades obsolete (at least, on the class I was playing), but adds some difficulty to missions. Most out-of-combat systems are still currently unused, and I look forward to seeing what this grows into once they are added.
-Some explanation of what the more obscure stats do would be nice, as I'm not sure what benefit levelling up my 'Greed' or 'Sloth' has.
-Story-wise, it has a basic but passable premise weighed down by some serious grammar and spelling problems. I was interested enough to play through the current content, which is a good sign.
-It seems like the author is an inexperienced writer (at least in english), and could greatly benefit from having someone else look over their scenes.
-Found a handful of bugs, most notably that some projectiles will not fire when your back is to a wall due to spawning inside the wall, and on certain missions your character can spawn inside terrain hazards. Other than that, perfectly playable.
-Art is from Kisekae, which may be downside to some, but I personally don't mind.
-Endings are short, but enjoyable (Again, consider a writer/editor).
Overall, worth the hour or so of time it takes to beat it, and I could see this becoming a very enjoyable game once complete.
I like the premise and the writing so far. Really looking forward to where this goes.
I don´t know if it is a bug, but both avatars stand at the same place in the screen during the log in sequence. And the girl avatar is always the one in front. I´d like to see both at the same time :)
Nice start. Story and gameplay looked good. Couldn't attack, left clicking did nothing. Alternates like enter or shift also did nothing. Could only run away which did lead to story progression but seemed a huge problem long term.
So, I have to say it has potential and the premise does look interesting, but the grammar and dialogue in general really need some work put into them. The author should probably look into getting an editor of some kind because grammatical errors and missing punctuation, as well as very stilted dialogue are very common.
The game side of the game seems to be fun. It looks very simplistic but that may change as the game develops. It feels as if the game is trying to take inspiration from vampire survivor and such, which I will admit isn't something I really like but this seems passable.
Very good start, if short.
It's a typical 'Stuck in the game until you beat it' situation but with a twist.
Looking forward to more, keep up the great work!
