Living Armor

Living Armor is about a painfully average office worker in a world of superhumans. He joins the ranks of the hero agency when an accident leaves him bonded to a Living suit of armor designed by a female supervillian. This leads to body changes and a bit of body horror. Currently there are 65k words and several sex scenes. The story is about 1/3 of the way done, all art is placeholder until story is finished, then I'll be drawing new versions of each scene or hiring another artist.

Top Link Is HTML only, Second one is everything.

Yes there is a plan to add sissy content but thats not the current priority.

Feedback!

Feedback from this version of the game has been going great I've gotten a lot of good things to work on.

Biggest change will be going from 3rd to 1st person for all but the intro.

Going to make a few bonus scenes to be hidden through out that shows things from AISYS's perspective.

Going to rework the status and look at your reflection pages to flow better. The clunky way it works now just sucks.

I'm going to cut out some of the context you don't actually need this early in the story that only really comes into play much much later. It'll be added back in when it's relevant but a word salad info dump is not the vibe.

I was expecting some classic Anime comedy gender-bending; and there have been anime in that exact genre since the nineties, if not before.

I didn't really get what I hoped for. This is clearly "Worm inspired" and has some of those dark tones.

More problematically, the current half-baked state of the different paths mean you seem to choose one thing and get another half the time; or choose something but only get to see one page about it before having to take the other choice anyway.

Way too many placeholders, end of content markers, and dead-ends. A CYOA, where nearly all the choices read "not implemented yet". Even when choices exist, they don't work properly and end up referring to stuff from other branches.

Another negative is that even when it's there, the writing lacks punch. It's over wordy, does too much tell, not enough show, and continually bogs down in labored exposition. There are only so many times you can be reminded just how gothic lolita the MC is before you start skimming.

I was reminded many times, and I did a lot of skimming, which was fine because I had to go back and redo those pages anyway due to end-of-content cul-de-sacs.

While the grammar and spelling are bearable (not great), the content is lacking.

While I'd rather bad grammar and spelling and solid scenes with "show" not tell, genuine conflict, character arc that's not a yawn, than a well spellchecked explosition-fest where nothing surprising ever happens. Unfortunately, this doesn't even manage the latter. The text goes on and on, and on, typos, repetitions, wonky English. Not fun to read.

Based on what is here right now, this is a miss.

There are very few choices and even fewer of them pan out in any meaningful way. There's a shortage of art, an excess of exposition and a dark tone that never delivers on the ominous vibes with anything resembling immersive erotic bdsm kinkiness.

The main character has some powerful Mary Sue vibes that do not bode well.

Even the scenes that the author feels are "edgy" are undercut immediately, plus the progression jumps from "I'm scared of sex" to "Bondage sex plz" very quickly, with weak justification (one is real, the other a dream, neverthless, to the reader they're the same). Having jumped the shark, there seems nowhere left for this to go, and it's only the first release.

The author needs to change both their quality of writing and their bar for what meets a worthwhile piece of releasable content for this to become good.

I regret the time I spent on this, and you may too.

There is probably an audience for this, but it's not me.

I see one adoring review below, so, I guess if you are prepared to sacrifice quality for quantity to get your gothic lolita self-insert fix, then this might do it.

i LOVE this, it fits my fetishes 10/10, i love the writing in most regards, i love the fact that you kidna actually have a story line, that somehow makes sense, i love the charakters... what can i say, its amazing.
TBF you gotta say that the writing gets a bit much in some places, where it really doesn't need to and pictures are a hit or miss most of the times, but still this is amazing and i am thrilled for more!

I like the idea, but it being a rough draft is evident.

As the images are placeholder I'll ignore them.

One critique I do have with the writing is that it's very external to the characters. It's as if we're hearing the story from the narrator instead of expeiriencing the story happening in front of us.

Instead of conversations play out you might have x explains Y, with no or little dialouge - which is fine for a draft but requires a lot of rewriting

I really like the concept. The writing is holding it back though.

The game would really benefit from someone proofreading, correcting and rephrasing parts.

Some games with bad english have a few lines per page and rely heavily on images,

this game has some images but relies mostly on text, with very long pages where you have to scroll quite a bit.
I usually have no issue with text only games, but focusing so much on text makes it all the more important to make
sure that it's engaging and easy to read.

Should the writing be improved, and some parts condensed, putting quality over quantity this does have a lot of potential.

I hope we'll see full m2f in the future.

But criticism aside, for such an early version it's really impressive. I'll definitely be following this.
