Minstrel is a non-linear freeroam RPG where you play the role of a minstrel trying to make money. Throughout the game are many forms your character can collect, for example a maid, a waitress or a dancer. Using these various forms, quest reward items and favors from character quests at different venues, you can boost the amount of money you earn per performance or work shift.
With the money making using different combinations of circumstances being the main focus of the game, it can be considered grind-y. There’s no big main quest that you’re following at any point, you’re purely doing quests for characters to get better forms or items. So if a more stateless grind and collect playstyle is not for you, and you instead prefer bigger story-driven games, this game might not be your cup of tea. This doesn’t mean there’s no lore at all, however. The bigger overarching lore is simply hidden a little more in character interactions.
Having a bit too much to drink in a tavern in the small village of Middleton, you work up a small debt. Being a performer by heart and trade, you decide to look to the stage to make the money you have to pay back. However, being but a fourth-rate comedian, there’s not a lot of money you can make. Maybe some of the ladies in this small town could lend you a hand, or more?
Jim/Jack/James/Jake/[Player Name]: A minstrel from out-of-town who worked up a debt and has to pay it back to the inn-keeper.
Wendy: A feisty inn-keeper who takes care of the Middleton Inn.
Lotta: A shy musician who performs at the Middleton Inn.
Randall: A bar patron who seems smitten with Lotta’s performances.
More characters will be revealed throughout the story, these four are the ones that are featured in the opening cutscene.

No walkthrough will be provided at release of the game, as I prefer community engagement to find all the routes I have hidden throughout the game. I do not mind helping out if necessary, though. Check out the Discussion Thread if you would want help with anything in particular, maybe someone has already done so or can help out!

Since it is presented as a game I will critique it a such.
The intro gives very little info about our character, or the world. The character does not even give a reaction to getting transformed.
The rest of the transformations are... just run around, fetch something come back and boom transformed. It is fine, but feels lacking to be honest.
The quest from the innkeeper does not feel urgent, since she never presses you again to perform. Maybe add a time of day that must be a performance?
This one suffers from same as many other RPG games, world is large, but barely anything in it.
Sorry for being negative, you´ve made a fine effort for a start to create the game. I hope you can make something fun out of this, since I like the premise of it. Good luck!
As of 1.1 there are no endings, with a walkthroug you can beat the game in about 20~40 min, 15 player transformations all TG or monster girl, all transformations are instantaneous no long sequences.
If you are the type to enjoy running around and interacting as diffrent characters its a fine experience.
