Every time you level up, not only your cards and abilities will get stronger, but your character's body will also get an upgrade. Tried the paid verision just to get a feel for the game.
The gist.. It´s a slay the spire spinoff. Fight enemy, get card reward, build a deck. I do like that every time you add a card, you need to remove one.
It is good. The gameplay while linear is solid and the characters play differently enough to be interesting.
As somebody else pointed out, it feels awkvard to not get the cutscenes immediatly after finishing the dungeoun, you have to click back to menu. Maybe fix that somehow.
Play in browser also feels a bit weird but manageble.
Transformations are fine. Nothing superspectacular, but fine. It´s made with AI and creator said in post at their patron that they have some trouble getting more detailed immages due to that. Right now every character get´s a "minor" transformation. (Will not spoil the paid ones, but free one gets a super toned and muscled body).
Transformations happen all at ones in a cutsene, would have liked if it got paced out over several smaller ones. But that is a personal preference
I do hope creator finds an artist that wants to collaborate, this might turn into a very good game then. I had fun for the time it took to beat the game with all characters.
Gameplay 6/10
Transformation 4/10
Story 5-6/10.
Needs a little something more. Not sure what
In the Free version 0.1 Demo in the link, you get a taste of the Amazon character's gameplay, and also how the game plays in general. I assume the paid characters (Futa and Cowgirl) have similar gameplay, but with a different combat style, and different story.
The gameplay is actually pretty intricate and interesting, even on the easy setting. The music is pretty generic. The graphics are not bad for a 2D game, not nearly as pixelated as many 2D games, and it plays in a Web Browser, although it does use quite a bit of CPU for a 2D game.
As for the transformation content, the Demo contains only 1 transformation so far, in which the Amazon becomes visibly more muscular, and also permanently boosts her STR/DEF stats.
The mechanic to reach this transformation is a bit odd:
1) You read the story.
2) You clear the linear dungeon from the beginning.
3) You get more story.
4) YOU RETURN TO THE MAIN MENU!!! WTH <--- it looks like gameover, you lost all your progress, but you didn't; it's just poorly designed.
5) You clear the linear dungeon from the beginning again.
6) You get more new story, and transform.
7) Fight the Final Boss, and get more story.
8) The Demo is over, but you can keep playing if you want.
I enjoyed the Demo, and look forward to seeing more of this game in the future. I'm not sure what's in the paid version. I know it has 2 more characters, but I'm not sure if their storylines contain more than one transformation in the paid version, or not. Either way, I do look forward to seeing where this game goes.
Pretty good start! Looking forward to more accessible content.
Currently 1 playable character and 1 transformation. Gameplay is great and very fun.
Game mechanics looks promising, but there is only 1 playable character and she is set to maximum level, no TF happening there.
