Overall: I really enjoyed what was there, I think the concept and world are pretty interesting and really appreciate the effort the author put into making the mechanics be recognized in the setting and incorporated into your choices and actions.
Pros: Good art, interesting premise, well built out lore. There's already a fair bit of stuff in the game, even if not all of it does anything right now, so the world seems like it'll be pretty large and interesting. There is support for a not the town bicycle character, even if it means fewer hardcore scenes its refreshing you don't have to toss away a character's dignity, ego and social standing just to advance.
Cons: It's pretty easy to miss things because there's a lot to dig through and check. There are quite a few journal/job/quest type systems in place, but most aren't hooked in yet. It's not well telegraphed what skills would be useful to pick up, when you should focus on stating vs exploring, or what the actual benefits of increased skills are instead of playing an unskilled waif for events. Not all stats are tracked well/telegraphed (I had to dig through the code to figure out why there was a bad end at the Women's Academy, and I still don't know if there's a way to mitigate that)
Things that are in development might have front end builts (like alchemy having links for different levels, or the existence of an Alchemy permit and a permit holders only section), but not be implemented (can't find second alchemy book yet, can't do anything with alchemy permit). This makes it hard to tell if something helped you and you missed it, or if it's just not ready.
Wishlist: A toggle (or tab) to show the profile art in the sidebar, because it's really good and easy to miss or ignore if you're not paying attention.
Fundamental flaws I don't know how to fix: There's a lot of clicking to do anything, and a lot of things need to be repeated (grinded) to reach max level. For example, to go study Law (assuming you don't need to eat or do other tasks):
1)Click to wake up.
2)Click to leave district.
3)Click Uptown
4)Click the Academy
5)Click OK on the flavor text for your trip
6)Click to enter the Academy
7)Click to Go to the Library
8)Click to Study at the Library
9)Click to Study Law at the Library
10)Click OK on the Study Text.
11)Get sent back to step 7, Repeat 7-10 twice more.
12)Click through the sleep message (about 20 clicks on links to study Law for the day).
12)Get sent back to step 1. Repeat this another 10-15 times to level up your Law sufficiently (stat gain is generally 1-2 points per action), call it around 200ish clicks on menus to 'Master' a skill (some activities scale off skill with no cap, so you can perform songs for a lot of money if you're willing to grind that up).
And with around 10 primary skills, and 10+ Secondary Skills, and the need to work at jobs for money, and the need to train spells as you get them, and manage your lust, and manage your hunger, and spending upgrade points, and dealing with interrupt scenes for lactation or other events, you wind up clicking links A LOT.
Unfortunately I don't know of a way to fix this because the navigation is optimized for flexibility. I'd advocate numeric shortcuts for links, so you could memorize a set of keys to push to go places/do things, but that relies on links being roughly fixed and numbers not progressing scenes by accident. Other options might be a telegraphed way to increase the efficiency of your time (show up to special seminars, spend extra money so you can take classes with improved efficiency, target working at a shop during a weekend rush, etc), or allowing access to those functions in your room (check out books, rent musical instruments, absorb the memories of an expired soul who was a master of their craft, etc) so you don't have to click as much.
One of the best games of this site. I couldn't believe my eyes when it did a Jesus and appeared in the recent updates list after years if apparant death. I can only recommend you to download and try it. While it's still far from finished it has more content than 9/10 games on here.
I love this game. Its a very well writen text based rpg (though as it has so much text, a few typos have sliped through the cracks)
The game gives you so many choices, l would say its open world! You can be a studious aprentice ooze wizard, or a total bimbo slut, or (almost) anything bewteen. (And the pictures in this game, though sparse, are very well made, and in most cases, very sexy)
However, if you are into a more gradual bodily transformation, sadly, the M-F Trans-fomration is instantaneous, though thats only one part of the story. What you do with your new curves are up to you. Also, it's pretty explicit, so consider yourself warned. (like, this is interactive, hard core porn.) (Well, only if you become a slut. If you control yourself, its just a good rpg with some lewdness)
Also, word of advice, even if the job seems sketchey, take it. The sketchey jobs give a lot of Money. (spesificaly the one given by the black phenoix)
This game is honestly shocking in how high quality it is. Normally my focus can't be held by a text-based game, but I was so disappointed when the current content ended because I was completely enraptured in the world, the characters and the gameplay.
Your character changes forms regularly, both voluntarily and involuntarily, and there are a ton of choices and paths to pursue. The combat is simple, but satisfying - you really see the benefit (or cost) or your choices in the few cases you have to fight something.
I really hope work continues on this game. It may be my favorite on the site so far.
i really liked this game and i hope it is updated/completed soon. like all games, it has its fair share of strengths and weaknesses.
on the positive side:
- it is beautifully written
- the fighting mechanics work better than many other games i have played
- it helps make the player think and try new things
- the lore and in-game mythos are interesting and full the game universe/history
on the negative side:
- there are limits on the choices available to the player (which ultimately decide whether you are A. another slut stereotype, or B. someone who is a slave to their libido)
- there are no real benefits to choosing a class type in the beginning of the game (if you come from a long family of bards or blacksmiths it would make sense to know the basic skills of being a rogue or blacksmith. so you can make money doing those kinds of jobs.)
- the longer you play the game, the harder and harder it becomes to satisfy your new body's lust.
again, i really like this game. it's one of the reasons i found this site. i can't wait for the next update and i hope some of these problems can be solved.
