TG-ADRIFT

TG-ADRIFT is a transformation game created in the ADRIFT engine by Decker. It was directly inspired by TG-TADS, which was created by Boo!.

It's a bright, sunny day, which is in sharp contrast to your mood.

The life of a private investigator is a lot more glamorous on television than in real life. On TV, the hero punches and intimidates his way through the first thirty minutes or so, thinks a moment (often with a smart-but-otherwise-useless-ally), then comes to the solution and bang, problem solved. In real life, there's lots of tedium: sifting through old records, bribing people you don't want to stand next to on the train, much less associate with, waiting in dank motel rooms and uncomfortable cars for a sign of life, and slogging out to the back of beyond on the off chance that you might finally, eventually, find something that puts you on the right path.

So far this case has been a series of dead ends. You've been retained to find one Mr. Foxe, a enigmatic gentleman who's somehow managed to elude your less-than-savory client's anger over some slight. It sounded ugly and probably hopeless, but the money was right and the rent was due, so you took it on, not anticipating the dullness that waited.

Now, four weeks later, you're at your last lead: an old property the elusive Mr. Foxe held and occasionally visited. It was the least promising lead, which is why you put it off until you were fresh out of ideas. Just a quick look around the place, then a drive back to the city to present your results to the client, tell her you did everything you could, and hope she doesn't stiff you too badly. I'm getting too old for this, you grouse internally as you trudge up the driveway to the front of the manor. A vacation is in order as soon as I finish this.
