Lust Doll Plus is set in a post-apocalyptic semi-modern/future world, where you start alone and confused in a dangerous place, with literally nothing (not even clothes on your back), and go on to carve out a piece of the world for yourself. There'll be a main storyline to follow, but the emphasis is on it being an open world game where you just screw around and have fun.
This is a remaster of Lust Doll (downloadable here: https://tfgames.site/index.php?module=viewgame&id=659) which I spent three years developing! If you've never played, do check it out! Note: You do NOT have to have played Lust Doll to enjoy Lust Doll Plus.
Mac, Linux, Android and in-browser versions also available!: https://indivigames.newgrounds.com/ (or check the discussion thread!)
LD+ is a full remake of Lust Doll (LD, on RPGmaker VX Ace, currently at version 20r4), on the RPG maker MV at around 10% completion. There are a few changes game-system-wise, such as the extra body parts for dressing up, tattoos, different types of penis from the start, etc., but the quests are pretty much the same. One of the biggest changes to me is the reduction of the size of maps. I am not sure if I should treat it as an improvement (for less walking time) or a restriction from the MV engine (the origin LD has some very beautifully done abstract landscape/mapscape that I really like).
The LD+ engine is very unstable atm. I have encountered two crashes to desktop at random in my 2 run through.
Anyway, Lust Doll 20r4 is definitely creative and erotic with a grey theme setting quite like fallout, with a mix of magic and scientific elements. If LD 20r4 is stopped giving way to LD+ 7r3, I am giving it my full support.
This game is amazing so far! I haven't played the predecesor, but from what other reviewers are saying, it mirrors this version pretty closely so far.
The idea of a sandbox game is great, but not if that sandbox only includes random fights. The game world should feel more alive with random events requiring skill checks and offering rewards/penalties. Random loot, random quests that require short trips to complete, etc. Its a very cool idea, and one that this game seems more than ready to handle, which makes me more excited for this games future.
Love New Arc City, having to explore the slums first is a really cool idea, and there seems to be a lot of possibilities for side content opening up once you enter. I'm not sure if the fighting pits are supposed to be just a money grind. Its fine if they are, but its pretty easy to get an absurd amount on money there as the challenge doesnt increase very much with multiple fights.
Overall, great game. It makes me want to go back and play the origional, but i also don't want to spoil any future updates to this version. Also the artwork is pretty good! Keep it up!
I like the improved mechanics of this version as compared to the predecessor. The smooth gameplay along with the less chopped combat(again compared to predecessor) is very improved and refined. Starting it the same way was a bit upsetting, but it is a complete recreation of its former baseline. Not a whole lot of content at the moment, but looking forward to the next update. I prefer to play it and immerse myself rather than just fap around, because some games are better with story than just senseless smut content, and some are vice versa. Example of good story: The Last Sovereign. Example of good smut: Ouroborus. Balance it out and it'll be better than both.
I fully agree with the previous review, but would like to add that this creator has a history of finishing games. So it's definitely one to watch out for.
Con: Much less content than its immediate predecessor.
Pro: The mechanics and interface seem to be an improvement over said predecessor—better response time, as best I can tell.
It's early in its development cycle. Worth keeping an eye on.
