The Last of the Kitsune

Welcome to 'The Last of the Kitsune'!

'The Last of the Kitsune' is an erotic game made in RPG Maker MV.
Each update shall eventually be free to play but Patreon supporters shall receive updates earlier! Those who played v0.04E, there's no new content for you here!

For full transparency, I'm taking a break from developing this game, and am currently working on gender-bend comics on my Patreon, so don't expect an update for the game any time soon!

But... if you want to throw $5 USD my way if you enjoyed the game or want the most recent version of the TLotK (with all my comics thrown in) I'd appreciate it, or for just $3 USD you get access to all my comic content without the game!

Edit: Anyone on an old save should start a new game. The 'warp' shall skip you way past the previous free update.

The game, when fully completed, shall have themes such as possession, detailed male to female and male to futanari transformations (targeted at individual body parts such as breast expansion) , pregnancy, lactation, mind control/ hypnosis and possibly more depending on what fans wish to see.

The game shall use assets from RPG Maker MV as well as free to use assets that other talented creators have made. I believe I have done a thorough job to credit them but if I have missed anyone out please do not hesitate to contact.

There's One More Version of the Game -  V0.04E Which is Currently Only Available for $5 USD Patreons! For just $5 USD you get access to the latest version of the game AND all my TF/TG comics OR if you're only curious about the comics then for the low price of $3 USD you get access to all my comics minus the game. Just to let people know who are going for multiple routes 'Page Down' can be used to skip Dialogue but this can ruin the flow of the game, causing bugs!

Save often! There are still some bugs that can cause problems!

Check the 'Changelog' page for important mechanics in the game.

Plot

The hapless protagonist is a thief called Michael who suffers an unusual fate after attempting to steal from, what he and associates believed to be, an abandoned kitsune temple.

Character List

Michael - A prime example of a vapid thief, uneducated and not especially willing to learn. His lifestyle has led him into a situation he himself does not see. Maybe what happens to him is a blessing in disguise?

Dodger - An experienced thief and one of his boss' go-to guys. A good thief and a better fighter, he is respected leagues above Micheal in the crew they are in. Strange that such a dangerous job requires only two men...

You shall have to play to see the others!

'The Last of the Kitsune'

Changelog:

V0.04Da

- Many more quests, new battle system, new tfs, new bosses, new dungeons.

- A whole lot since the last public update. Check the 'walkthrough' page if you're interested.

Some important core game changes:

For anyone new (or those who don't know):

- When you level-up you can spend earned 'Attribute Points' to up the stats of each party member this is found under the 'Allocate' command in the main menu. If you switch class (can only be done with Michael at the moment), don't forget to spend the AP points again and re-equip yourself!

- When you start a new game jumping into current content you have a plethora of weapons and equipment to use, make sure to equip them!

- If you are not really interested in fighting or having difficulty at a certain part of the game there is a 'Enemy Difficulty' slider in the main menu under 'Options', slide this below 100% for an easier time. There is no penalty for this.

- 'Skills' are not only gained via levelling, but also by purchasing them. Go to the 'Class' command in the main menu and select 'Learn Skills'. This update Tomo can learn a useful spell for stopping bleeding! If you need more points to purchase, get to killing!

- There is a 'Row' command in the main menu that allows you to move party members into formations. Each position has a benefit and drawback, but it is generally better to have your physical fighters up front and 'squishier' magic casters in the back.

- TP gains are affected by which 'TP Mode' you use, which can be found under 'Skill' in the main menu.

This is definitely one of my most favorite games on this site. It is well written, well programmed, well thought out and well laid out. It would be absolutely spectacular if this were to continue on so that the story could be finished, but even if it is not, I have nothing but respect for the game and it's content.

First off, this is my first ever review and i normaly don'T do such thinks but this game is to amazing not to. I in all honesty think the story/charakter interaction(s) is written bether then some fcking tripple a games. Everything around these 2 things is well to be expected from such games but the story is SOOO fcking good it blew my mind and i even shared this game with some of my friends, which i would normally never do.

Sorry I tried to like it, but the stoery beats and the way he's treated like dog shit with seemingly no way to stop it has become too un-appealing.

As far as RPG Maker games though, this is an excellent work in progress. Save often and the occasional bug you find shouldn't be an issue.

Until after the second boss I had a great time, the smut, dialogue and scenes are all well written but the difficulty could use some ironing out as time goes on. (For the second boss, I found it helpful to use Soul Drain right away, then clear up the bats as best as possible. Healing enemies in most RPGM games can be tough to balance around when you can barely damage as much as they recover!)

--

I will critique the approach for the scenario immediately after the second boss however; (without being specific for spoiler's sake) I get this game is tagged MC and Invol, but given these were already lightly addressed in earlier sequences, I found myself throughly dissapointed and turned-off by the way the depth, breath and lasting effect of how the non-con was handled. If it wasn't for the fact that there's no smut in that scene, I'd say this game needs the Non-con tag. To put it in a good light, it speaks to the quality of the writing that I'd be invested enough to be so disgused by this scene??

I think Magical Camp sets a decent precedent here; if you don't like a certain bit of lasting content you can opt out of it, but in exchange you may miss out on a boon to balance it. Perhaps in this case powering up elemental damage if the player chooses to keep the token of the TF?

--

Afterwards the game really tries to play with gender themes, morality and so on, but I just lost interest as my immersion and enjoyment was broken. I pressed on as far as the human town, but soon after had to stop and ask myself why I was pressing onwards reading about sad stories without enjoying myself.

All up this is definitely one to watch, but I'll be keeping an eye on future reviews to see if I'll actually play it again.

This a great game and you should definitely try it. There isn't that much yet, only a few hours of content, but it has been getting updated regularly with lots of content each update. The plot is very intriguing, the characters are very good and while we haven't seen much of the worldbuilding yet, it definitely seems like it will grow to something great. The combat is good, definitely engaging for the fights you get into but it's still far from finished.

Considering it is still an early access game, I give it a 9/10.
