Seven Dwarves (A Yonyon Game)
by Leina

This is an unofficial translation of the game '7人の小人' (7 Dwarves) made by Yonyon. The original game can be found here.

Much like one of Yonyon's previous game '絵のある家' (A House with Paintings), this game makes use of AI generated images. The ones here are of much higher quality than the ones used in that game though.

The translation is not 100% accurate to the original game, but I think it is relatively close for the most part. Some of it is best guesses at the actual meaning of some weird bits of machine translation. And a couple of bits are slight modifications to what was said to make certain things work better in English. Hopefully I didn't butcher anything too badly.

The main character finds a piece of paper on the floor of his bedroom. It says to write down a wish and the wish will come true. Thinking it is a prank, the main character writes a wish on the page before going to bed. Due to some questionable handwriting, the wish is misread and hijinks ensue.

If you get stuck, just check the bulletin board on the wall in the hallway. It has hints and complete answers for every step of the game.

1.0.0 - Initial upload.

1.1 - Applied the translation to the bugfixed 1.1 version of the original game. Should fix any bugs related to sequence breaking via use of the smartphone.

Another excellent yonyon game. I played in Japanese so I can't speak to the quality of the translation, but I can vouch for everything else. The puzzles are a little easier than most of yonyon's, and there's a good hint system available right from the start (that lets you choose between getting a hint or just being told the answer).

The game uses AI images, but they're well above average and don't detract from the game. They honestly feel like a step up from yonyon's previous paper dolls, although they don't always fit the scene 100% perfectly.

I beat the game in roughly an hour using a few hints. There isn't much story outside of the endings. There are about a dozen and the writing is pretty solid. It's fun watching the protagonist deal with the consequences of the ending you choose.

All in all I think it easily makes my top 5 yonyon games. If you're new to yonyon's body of work, some of my other favorites are the original Zombie, "Escape: Swapped", and "Horse Hall".

It's a YonYon game, and that means you're going to get Excellent top of the line puzzles, great art, and a brief but sentimental story with multiple endings. This game was no dissapointment.

That said, this is a slightly more buggy version, there's a couple of different ways to sequence break the game, and the sentimental ending is a bit rushed. It's also a shorter and more condensed game. But that's honestly completely fine. It's still an excellent game and definitely worth the playthrough.

Decent game if you like AI generated images. The girl transformations are in some cases used to solve different puzzles. Unlike" a house with paintings" these are not utilized that much in my opinion.

Puzzles can be figured out, but the true ending got no clues what I could see in game. I had to look at the hints board.

Verdict. Play it for the few AI images if you want,  the rest is a mediokre puzzle game
