The Donk Date
by rzr444

It's an interactive fiction with a linear plot and some minor game mechanics. A girl slowly changes into a donkey creature. There are some pitfalls and it's important to find the right dialogs. There are also some important items you have to find.
The game is still in the works and unfinished content is only available for supporters.

The public version ends in her car when the player tries to unlock his phone.

There will be a full free version once, the game is finished.

The web version will most likely not work on Firefox due to Firefox-Bug with the RenPy engine.

Please let me know if you find any typos or if and where I made language mistakes.
Also, whenever you find bugs, let me know where they occurred, otherwise, it's pretty hard for me to find them.

I'm also at Discord: Lynn's Lab / public chat

If you want to spend 2 hours trial-and-erroring your way through what amounts to a 5 minute content prologue, this is the game for you. I guess there is more if you get the phone code from Patreon or Discord but this is a review for what I can access here with the free version, which is incredibly lackluster. The art, at least the bit that is accessible, is good but this game could be so much more successful with some basic game design improvements.

Do you like nice art? Do you like fast-paced dialog? and do you have a spare few minutes then give this game a try.

Ok, I like this game. It hits a few boxes only a few games do on this site.

The good:
- The game is fast paced.
- The game has a lot of good art for the transformation stages.
- The developer is really responsive.
- It is a rare example of a game going for the anthro tf. (donk)

The bad:
- The game has some dead ends and demands you figure out how to maneuver through it.
- The story is very short SO FAR. Here is hoping this gets longer in the future, but this also means that the game does not waste time with fluff.
- It has little in the for of gameplay. So far there are some point and click items.

In short: Good tf game!

Nice little romp that's slowly coming together. Hit a bar, meet a girl, have a hawwppy time!. Some kinks to work out in it still but overall looking good so far.

I've tried my best to give this game a fair shot, but in its current state, it's just unplayable. First and foremost are the frequent crashes. You cant so much as tap the scroll wheel without the game falling apart. Loading saves, entering certain areas, taking certain dialogue paths all have a chance to just completely shut down the game. This makes gameplay incredibly frustrating, as the player is discouraged from exploring as it may lead to abrupt crashes or soft locks. This may be a fault of programing, or simply a result of the in browser build. In either case, Id recomend adding alternative download links, or hosting the game on a more stable site like Itch.io.

The AI assets are passable at best, but are frequently unsettling. I do appreciate the frequency at which the assets change, but it doesnt play well when the browser has to download them all individually.

The writing has an excessive amount of typos, which I wont hold against the game maker since it feels like mistranslations, but still, it adds to the confussion in a lot of cases. Its hard to tell what the next objective is, or what choices you should make, when they dont make any sense. Additionally, sometimes style prompting programing slips through into the games text. things like "<Sexy voice>" gives the game an unpolished feel, and portrays the game as hasty and untested. In short, it needs a bit more time to cook, and some community feedback.
