Premise

After long years of schooling and a difficult internship, you're almost ready to start your career at Genestro Pharmaceuticals. All you need to do is play it cool... which is hard to do when you find a bottle of a miraculous, experimental product which should have gone to the testing labs. You soon discover just how wonderful this stuff is, but if you're going to be obvious about using it, you're going to have to take an active role in convincing your coworkers to let you get the full-time position.

This is a short game, with an individual-route playtime heavily dependent on your reading speed, maybe ~10 minutes. However, there are a lot of routes, some fun events, and cheats to unlock, so I hope you can get at least a few good play sessions out of it!

Gameplay

In this game, you balance four things. First, time. You have 10 days before the evaluation. Secondly, conspicuousness. You can make a few minor changes pretty easily, or hide them away with clothing, but obvious changes will weigh against you eventually. Thirdly, the work you've accomplished. Spending your time working isn't the most fun thing in the world, but it's the easiest way to get everyone on-side. Finally, attraction. Your ace in the hole. It goes up as you change, based on everyone's preferences, and even more when you show them some personal appreciation.

There are 16 endings, depending on who approves of you, and if you gained that approval via seduction. Honestly, I'm not even sure all of them can happen with how each character's tastes are relatively similar, and how they all value hard work, but every combination is ready regardless.

Do note that this game focuses fully on voluntary transformation: there is no involuntary route, if that's your flavor. Sorry about that, didn't realize the amount of demand there would be for one!

Author Notes

I went from having no experience with Twine or game making to having this done in 5 days. It was a winter-break passion project. So, honestly, it's not up to snuff compared to some of the other wonderful games on here, but I hope the passion shines through. I wanted to post something complete, with no placeholder routes or missing events, and touching on all the beats I liked to see in these stories. There could be more images, more polish, and more fancy features, but I'm quite proud of the mediocrity all the same. Please let me know if you enjoyed this, it would mean a lot. Maybe I'll do this again some day.

You: A lowly intern, given the chance of a lifetime.

Your Mentor: A bit of a bro, but he's foreward about what he likes, and kind at heart.

Your Team Lead: Quiet and cold as ice, but has weaknesses, like anyone else.

The Manager: Domineering and demanding, but knows how to get good results from the pack of jokers he's working with.

Itty bitty update. Made manager's path easier, since it essentially required perfection with the buffs I gave it in 0.9.2.

Thanks for the enthusiasm and feedback! I was expecting about 10 likes, 7 of which would be misclicks, but reaching almost 100 energized me to try out some experimental features. They are VERY experimental though, so I'm keeping the 0.9.1 link alive just in case.

Added an ending tracker. This was done with Twine's memorize and recall instead of through your save file, so you don't need to constantly reload the same save. However, it will only persist until you clear your session.

Secret code rework. They will no longer take up your name slot, and will instead be entered via a text box which appears after you clear one ending.

Secret code redistribution. Some codes would give you more attraction from a character in an ending where you only impressed them, making them a bit awkward to get and use. They've been moved around to be more useful.

Manager buff. He's no longer able to prevaricate regarding his predilection towards posteriors. His face tf requirement has been lowered by one to partly compensate.

Then, just a few random grammar and punctuation changes.

Version 0.9.1:
Fixed two broken endings (4/9, and 5/10).

In this version, I introduced all the bugs. Har har. Anyway, this is the feature-complete game with all content and ending paths ready to enjoy. Since I'm a first-timer, I expect a lot of fixes will be necessary, but I can't fully commit to maintaining the game, since I usually have very little time to work with. If something big comes up in the forum thread though, I hope I'll be able to fix it for you.

I really want to like this one. For starters, it's a game featuring self-transformations that is NOT a sissy fetish game! And that is pretty rare nowadays on TFGames, where 80% of the games are sissy games, and 15% are "Be a stud and bimbofy other people" games.  So that leaves us with 5% of games were you get to be transformed completely into a girl. We desperately need more games like this. Simple, fun, and not forcing the player to spend 50% of the playtime selecting clothes or showering. :(

Still... It's a lot of work to get to only 3 sex scenes (I saw only 2, never managed to unlock the big boss), and strangely enough, the 2 scenes I got are kinda... dominant scenes, unusually for games of this nature. The titjob scene I liked. The futanari scene isn't really my fetish, and had videos that didn't match the description (videos of some stud face-fucking a girl, while the player is supposed to be a she-male face-fucking a man). 

I tend to prefer being in submissive female role myself, but I would not be opposed to a game where you play as a dominant female (though I'd really prefer to not be a she-male, thank you, why not having the player as a dominant female sucking the dick of the anime nerd? It would match the videos more). But the problem here, is that the game seems confused about what is the fetish it's catering about. The whole game seems to be geared to the player as a submissive, being an intern and having to mold themselves to appeal to her 3 bosses. Perfect for a submissive girl game, right? But weirdly enough, in this game every non-sexual scene has you in a submissive role, but every sex scene I unlocked has you in a dominant role.

The endings also are weird. There are bimbo secretary endings with bonus cheats to match, but the sex scenes do NOT ever have you as a bimbo secretary or something of the kind. Just as: a) a dominant buxom girl using femdom talk with your boss that is a tit guy (sort of hot), and b) a futanari face-fucking the anime nerd boss (with the video of a manly stud face-fucking girls).

Maybe there is stuff more to my liking in the third sex scene, but I never managed to unlock it.

Forgot to mention, the transformation videos are pretty good. Simple and effective.

Oh hey a finished game, neat! I understand there may be more content in the future, but as it stands this is a really fun, if short, game. Dialogue is well-written and the TG content that's here is solid. I would note that the cheats you unlock at the end of each path seem more like the intended experience rather than actual cheats, so I would encourage their use on subsequent playthroughs.

This is a fun little time-management game. You have twenty actions you can use to either transform yourself, seduce a coworker, or do your job, and then you get an ending depending on how many of each of those actions you take. After each playthrough you unlock a little bonus that can make your next time through a little different.

The thing I find most lacking about Professional Growth is that there isn't too much reason to play through the game more than once. The endings are very simple, and the story progresses in pretty much the same way whether you don't transform yourself at all or go absolutely nuts and take every transformation. The short stories with your coworkers are VERY short and there's only three of them.

That all being said I have to commend it for being a game that's one single, simple, well-realized idea, which I personally much prefer to perpetually unfinished concepts. I also imagine BBW fans will enjoy it (all of that content is purely optional so if you hate that stuff there's no issue there either). If you've been left wanting for a small but filling TG adventure, look no further.

v0.9.2:

Writing for the game is solid and I found it entertaining as I was playing through to discover all of the endings. Images used in the game are functional and fit the scenes and transformation. There is no sound in this game. Interactivity in the game is fair, but streamlined as the sim of the game is on a set timeline and with multiple endings to discover if it wasn't this tight then it would be too easy to potentially hit conflicts by qualifying for more than one possible ending. Transformations in the game are all on the MtF line, but you the player have control over how far you go and it does affect the ending pathway you can find yourself on.

Overall I enjoyed this short game. Finding all of the endings was a challenge, but the in-game cheats provided by the game author helped and it was enjoying discovering just how cracked you can make things at the R&D office you work for without getting the staff you work with too conspicuous with the transformations selected.

Recommended.

Honestly, this game is really solid. It feels small and complete but it's a good feeling.

If I had any complaint at all, it would be that the New Game Plus functionality seems a little clunky. I think it would behoove the designer to put in a interface page dedicated exclusively to what Endings you had unlocked and maybe allow switches to turn on the different bonuses you can get on another playthrough on that page as an option screen? Just a suggestion.

Again, really solid. Can be finished rather quickly, though completing the game seems a little obtuse as it's difficult to keep track of what things you have or haven't gotten and how you got them. Again, I think that would be really neat for the creator to put into place a way to keep track of the Endings with the ability to turn on or off NG+ options at game start.

Related to this exact same complaint, the one that I have, is that on a subsequent playthrough you need to rename your character to get a different type of bonus in how the current design is implemented… Which makes your name somewhat weird as opposed to a character name you would actually pick.

hope my first published game comes out as good as this one… 9/10
