Ageless Symbiote

The CYOA story is a very early alpha and is a personal learning project combined with a story I would like to tell. I'm currently learning twine and sugarcube. It is my intention to keep evolving this story where is makes sense. It will remain a CYOA style however I will introduce as many game like elements as I learn them. 

Plot

You are involved in a car crash, recovered and taken to a hidden facility by DinoTech they help you recover in a coma. When you awake you are paralysed. You are offered a symbiote by another resident at the facility, it can heal you but be careful with your decisions they will change you.

(Patreon Paid) V0.06 -  I am really pleased with this version there has been a lot of work to improve interactivity.

  • Patreon subscribers
    • Revoked old Patreon password.
    • Patreon menu updated
    • After V0.06 the gap between PAID and FREE versions will now increase to two versions.

    • Player stats revamped and re-balanced
    • Main alteration stats amended to strength, fem, arousal, corruption. 
    • Variable text styling based on stats - fem alters appearance of self, gender and speech Color. 
    • Random events chance now 1/5 because they can now impact stats

    • Strength now controls physical build and some special abilities

V0.05 - Free

  • New Self screen and cleaner side menu
  • Self screen accessible in the side menu as button
  • Attribute cleanup - attributes will need further balancing.
  • Code updated to incorporate powers gained from events in future releases.
  • Some attributes now respond the level of Fem.
  • Passage naming convention replaced to give more options: this allows for more passages in prep for upgrades
  • I have started including random events - there is a 1/10 chance of activation and can be found in random passages.
  • Random events can either be an alternate passage, surprise death, or a deviation from the story.
  • Started adding more branching. I am not going to go too far with branching just where it will add fun. 
  • Started to bring other significant branches to life - Go it alone route.
  • Sidemenu Share button provides Patreon link.
  • Bug fixes - broken links, mislabelled items.

Definitely a CYOA rather than a game at present. Indeed, sometimes the only effect of a choice is to to take a different path to the same destination. There is now a save system and the ability to backtrack. That said, the writer is definitely correct that this is an early alpha.

There are hints that the author may intend to provide for a variety of transformations, but so far only the beginnings of an incomplete M2F path are implemented with little choice at present to what gets changed next as you transform.

Verdict: If you feel like a brief diversion to see what's been done so far, you'll get that. If you're looking for a playable game, I suggest waiting for now.

Good start but the unfinished paths bring you back to the start of the game, you cant even go back and choose differently.

This is quite interesting, still very short, but interesting. The only downside is there is no save / load system. I think it might be written in pure HTML? If it is I would reccomend the auther to switch to Sugarcube while it is still early.
